I like to say that Oni is to Billy what Plague is to Huntress : Their powers are pretty similar (both Oni and BIlly have insta downs, both Plague and Huntress have ranged attacks), but Oni and Plague can only use their power for a certain amount of time, while the other 2 have them all the time. HOWEVER, Oni's and Plague's powers have the *potential* to be much more devastating, given you use them correctly.

I am gonna disagree with you. Billy is still far better then Oni even with over heat. Billy has access to his power from the start of the match and requires nothing to use it. I play a lot of Billy and overheat has never effected me what so ever. The only one up Oni has is wall gliding other then that Billy still King.

My fav combo of perks for Oni is Nemesis and Dark Devotion - it's *extremely* gratifying to be able to put your heartbeat on one survivor, then down another in the opposite direction who has no idea you're coming except for your footsteps.

I like the tip you mentioned in the beginning: hit a survivor and move on to get them to bleed everywhere. I rarely see Oni's do this, but it seems like a great way to keep his power up. Personally, I like using No Mither as a survivor (as a challenge for myself and to mess with my friends) and I'm always surprised when an Oni with Lethal Pursuer heads straight in my direction; why take out someone giving you a bountiful resource to your power?

My 3 personal perks: Better alone: You’ve never been good with working with other people, you gain a 15% boost to action speed (repairing) when a survivor in not within 16 meters of you. You lose 10% speed if they are within that radius a long with the 15% bonus. Invisible: You are amazing at being near people without alerting them, when in a chase for 60 seconds, the killer loses the chase music for 10 seconds, the chase will continue however if the killer can gain line of sight after the timer. This perk has a cool down go 90 seconds. Procrastination: You like to put off things for later, when ever you work on a gen for 20 seconds, procrastination activates. After completing that gen, it won’t signal being completed for 10 seconds after it reaches 100%. ie. the loud noise, the counter and the exit gat activating won’t go for 10 seconds

My 3 personal killer perks: I’m the light( opposite of in the dark ): You can spread out easily the less people there are, for every person out of the trial( sacrifice, dc or mori ) increase you terror radius by 8 meters. Voices: Some times, you hear things. For every survivor in the trial, you have a token. 4 tokens: hear whispers within 20 meters of survivors 3 tokens: see the auras of all survivors for 10 seconds for every hook Progression done. 2 tokens: survivors are affected with the blindness status effect 1 token: can kill any survivor by your hand. Inner rage: Lose of your prey filled you with rage, the effects of blood lust teir 3 are increase to make you speed 125% but blood lust takes longer to manifest

Going for one person only at the start isn't actually a terrible idea. Hit them once, follow them around to get your power, down them if you can but if not that's fine, then go on to down one or two other survivors very quickly. If they get picked up or unhooked they'll be injured regardless so you'll get your power back soon enough. Oh but if you see an easy hit on a different surv always go for it. Hitting a healthy surv gives about 40% of your power instantly which is super valuable.

If you actually want to learn something about Oni I'd highly recommend Scott Jund's guide. He's an insanely good ex-Oni main and I've personally improved a shit ton because of him.
