Jerry Lorenzo has made a name for himself with his extremely popular label Fear of God, and in this video we’ll look at his insane journey into the world of fashion. He started off as one of the top party promoters in LA, and through his friend Virgil Abloh (founder of Off-White and creative director of Louis Vuitton) met none other than Kanye West. Between working with Kanye, Justin Bieber, and some extremely popular ventures like F.O.G., his PacSun collab, and the Essentials line, Jerry Lorenzo has become one of the biggest names in fashion. We’ll talk about the Fear of God x Nike collab, and how he is now moving to Adidas to establish Fear of God Athletics. This is the Jerry Lorenzo story.

Another great installment. I'm glad you focused in on the Jerry influence with the YEEZY collection. The clothes are almost identical to FOG. The shoes too. Basically, Jerry gave Kanye a FOG season and put YEEZY tags on it. Can't wait to see what the Adidas Basketball collection looks like.

I’m surprised there was no mention of his huge tumblr follow prior to launching the label. It was all to build an aesthetic of the dark side of religion before he knew what he wanted to do with the label. The catalyst to his brand prior to Virgil was Chris brown wearing the sample red flannel with zippers down the back in a music video

Tbh I still really want a pair of them Air FOG 1s. It’s just such an interesting shoe, plus I’ve always loved that if he couldn’t make his OWN shoe he was willing to walk away. The confidence in himself just isn’t seen like that anymore. So many people would have caved but he was so confident in the model he designed & he absolutely killed it.

Great video, I've always really respected Jerry Lorenzo but I've never had a full appreciation for his story until now.
