Back in 94 he grabbed my head wrapped his cord around my neck and sang Boulermaker in my face for the whole song....pulled me up ...and it was the greatest stage dive of my life

First time i heard of David Yow, and Jesus Lizard was in 1995. On Encomium a tribute to Led Zepplin, there was a cover of Custard Pie, and i was like who the fuck is this singer? Started buying Jesus Lizard Cd's after that....Jesus Lizard is awesome... Yow is a Legend.

They always sound spot on… I’ve seen David Yow live so many times throughout the years all the way back to Scratch Acid (yep,I’m old AF) and he still sounds exactly the same.. he is my spirit animal!

I know everyone here has a JL story, this band were such a part of my youth - I'm 55 now. Anyway one night they played the Manchester Boardwalk (UK small venue). David jumped into the crowd within seconds of the first song, I caught him in a fireman's lift and ran him all the way to the back and dumped him on the sound desk (it wasn't that far away). Can't remember much more, the crowd parted like the red sea and Yow carried on back to the stage. Oh f**k was it an Alice Donut gig? No no no it wasn't No Means No either. What a time to be alive. Full respect to everyone watching. My experience, my story. 👍my life. Bless you all.

OMFG! PUSS OPENER! Had a beer with Yow @ the Roxy in Brisbane Aus back in 95 or 96. He was just chilling by the bar at the back taking in the supports. Such a nice bloke. Was up front at his Livid Fest set round that time too. So good to see him so happy and just as fkn crazy and simultaneously sweet AF on stage as he was back then. So much ❤

OMG unbelievable, one of my all-time favourites and absolutely loved bands, back at it with exactly the same energy as before, amazing new songs… They look older, but it's like they're coming straight from the 90s with just this new (old) skin, lol. And David Yow, what a guy! I still remember back in the days, when he suddenly appeared on stage, all naked, at a festival (Dour festival in Belgium?) after their own gig and during the next band, which I think was Ministry… So he was just there dancing naked on another band's music (Ministry?), before being taken away by the security staff. 😂 Legend. Living legend!
