I love Jigglypuff. But I play one match, read something, do Rest, feel happy, then get punished and die. And then scream. So whenever I play a Jiggs online, I take a vow to NEVER punish Rest, because I don't want others to have to FEEL MY PAIN.

Meh While it's impossible to tell the difference between male and female Jigglypuffs, 75% of all Jigglypuffs are female, so there's a good chance that it's a she. But since it's not specified in Smash, Jigglypuff can be a he or she depending on your point of view. I prefer to see this one as a she, especially since all the hats she can wear are girly. :[]

I've played Jigglypuff since release, and still play her non-competitively sometimes, back then I was happy that she didn't seem as bad as she did in Brawl, but as more characters got buffed and DLC characters came out, it was obvious how much of a train wreck she was, almost everything she has is flawed. It makes me sad, I enjoyed playing her in melee, and even if she wasn't a viable character I wish she at least felt more rewarding to play. But she's just too terrible. #BuffThePuff

How to buff the puff... 1. Give her a kill throw (such as forward throw because it just looks like a kill throw) 2. Give her a combo throw, you can have up throw combo into rest since it doesn't even kill until high percent (at least make it a 50/50 like the Hoo Haa) 3. Buff her aerials Ex. a. f-air now auto cancels b. b-air will be faster and end quicker but keep it's ability as it kill move c. make d-air a move that can combo out of some kind of throw or be combo able d. give up-air a better hit box (make it match his animation because that goes nowhere) e. n-air is alright so it can stay the same but it should be safer on shields so maybe make it auto cancel-able 4. Buff her specials Ex. a. rest kills earlier (why they made it as weak is beyond me) b. pound is fine but maybe make it angle her up for a bit so she can recover better because despite her multiple jumps she (in my opinion) has the worst recovery ever c. make roll-out in the air a multi hit move instead of a kill move to help the gimp of getting hit by it and make roll-out on the ground be the kill move d. sing is kind of those moves where if you buff it too much, it'll be broken so instead I think sing should start a bit faster and end a bit faster otherwise what else can I do to buff it to not make it broken 5. I wish this would happen because it makes since, she's the balloon pokemon, if you throw a balloon what would happen? It goes nowhere so since that's the case make her harder to kill. What do you think Amiibo Royale? I think these make sense.

Though some of those are good things however I don't think all of those should be in the game. Jiggs with a spike (or several like your suggestions) would be OP. She has great aerial mobility and is known for her fence of pain so a spike is too op. I do like the 75/25 thing but if we have rest kill earlier then a higher chance of landing it from up throw is busted beyond belief, we want to make her viable not broken. Her dash attack is quick and one of her best kill options so making it a combo move would actually get rid of a solid kill option. Making fair a spike is similar to making fox's laser into falco's lasers, it won't work that well for them.

Well, seeing as around 800-1800 ACE women wore breastplates and armor that were no different than men's I would not see a reason for her to need something to hold her chest. A style of armorsmithing known as dishing was used to make the armor stronger. It would also provide more room. I make armor by hand. Three things can make armor stronger and putting breasts/boobies into the armor is not one of them. That is fantasy. Nothing wrong with fantasy. Also nothing wrong with ladies with smaller breasts.

Side B: Useful for shield pressure. Neutral B: Leaves you wide open. Up B: Neutralizes grounded jointed attacks for example Bowser's side smash. Down B: Good in doubles with friendly fire on. Quickly throw a projectile at your resting jigglypuff to save her balloon ass from a free ticket to the blast zones. In singles you're better off using rest if your opponent has one stock left. Aside from neutral b and down b, she is perfect the way she is. As for buffing the throws, there's a reason Puff's throws shouldn't be combo starters. It's like giving pre patch Diddy Kong 4 additional jumps. Basically it's Hoo-ha from all directions. Just remove the obnoxious blast zone KO leaving only the star KO and camera KO. Like what kills you? Invisible upside down floating spikes? I rest my case.

Down b only killing at %s where most characters have a kill throw or kill smash is stupid. Up-B being so easily avoidable by anybody who isn't trash is stupid. Neutral B is a stupid move in the first place, and side-b has its uses situationally, but has such a small hitbox and such low movement that it's easily punishable as well as not being nearly as good on shield as other shield breakers. Not to mention the rest of Jigglypuff's entire kit is stupid. It's like they're specifically trying to avoid a jigglypuff like melee's so they take melee jigglypuff and nerf every single move, then goes "yeah this is balanced now".

Finally someone talked about the horrid throws! I have a secondary Jigglypuff and I can proudly say that they have the worst throws. There needs to be some serious knockback fixes to that, if nothing else.

I am a puff main, and I think these changes would help me perform better: Faster Aerials Down throw combos into up air Up throw can combo into rest if you predict the air dodge or jump (like rob's down throw into up-air 50/50) Faster air movement (slightly faster than wario) Increased grab hitbox rollout actually does something if you don't charge it Slightly larger aerial hitboxes Rollout doesn't stop if it hits a shield Sing is jump cancelable. A stock is removed as soon as someone touches the blast zone, even if it's a star K.O. Make rest stronger REDUCE REST SLEEP DURATION

the key to play with jiggly is to master floating and aerial dodge. I terrorize people online with jiggly and once you do enough DMG go in for a 3part spin attack, a sudden down charge, or if your elevated just throw the opponent UP. jiggly is a demon if you just master her

Keep in mind is that for Rest in For Glory is different then everything else. Side Scrolling maps make Sing instant death, high positions makes Rest kill sooner. Stun items allow you to use Rest far more easily. Jigglypuff needs a rework, but sadly that would piss off mains even more. It really sucks being in a no win situation. ...that being said isn't it a bad idea to use rest over a pit to begin with? You miss you die. It is literally the equivalent of using a Suicide move to kill someone when you are a stock ahead.

Easy solution to your problems. If the up-b and neutral-b suck so much, don't use them. If you don't feel like you have enough jumps to recover back on stage, use side-b for horizontal recovery. If you know your opponent is going to kill you after using rest, opt for another kill option like f-smash. Don't be surprised when you die to Megaman at about 70%, Puff is the lightest in the game. Lastly, have you ever heard of joke characters in fighting games? Dan in Street Fighter, Pichu in Melee, etc. They're simply there just to be messed around with, not to be taken seriously

how I would buff puff 1. make up throws have follow ups 2. give Bair less ending lag and more active frames 3. make dair a meteor(controversial but other than her fair and Bair all her aerials are useless and giving her dair a meteor would give her better offstage than just fair fair fair fair) 4. Make rest kill a lot earlier and when it kills it always star ko 5. sing has less lag overall and can't be mashed out of 6. fair does some shield damage

My brother said Jigglypuff is too OP because I 2stocked him with a double rest kill and somehow pulled a grab into 5 aerials combo... Seriously? The worst part was he was playing IKE too, and he saw the rest coming every time going so far as to say no no no no no no no no when I was getting close. I swear I've seen it referred to as she in game but reading the trophy info/bio from N64 to 3U such information does not appear. I guess there's a possibility it's male however it biologically is more likely to be female. Based on costumes it is a she obviously, unless you want to MatPat it.

Yeah, Jigglypuff's existence is a sad one. I play her pretty much purely for the aerial maneuverability to contrast my other mains. I can get Rollout to work for me by making it obvious I'm going to use it to bait counters and smash attacks, then wait for the end lag and punish. It's a decent KO move. As for the rest of her, it would be very easy to change the size of a few hitboxes, change frame data and alter the throws for followups, but I think Sakurai won't because he genuinely dislikes Pokemon (he worked hard for Greninja, but because he was asked to). He consistently leaves out Pokemon characters from the roster; Mewtwo was intended to be playable in all games, but was dropped in all but Melee, often in favour of clones. And Jigglypuff is always one of the last characters he develops, putting her at risk of being cut - her late addition is why she's not in Brawl's SSE. Then he makes Jigglypuff so bad and never touches her with an update. As for Sing and Rest, I never use Sing and unless I'm in a pinch I won't use Rest. Last time I did, I KOd a Bayonetta with it, and the very frame she respawned, she used a perfectly positioned downwards side B to knock me into the air, one Witch Twist, and a back air, and I was dead. Less than two seconds, and I was gone. The only time you can use Rest is when you're trying to end the match. #BuffthePuff

Jigglypuff was severely overlooked in smash 4. It’s like they only put her in the game because she’s one of the originals. I would love to main puff but it’s so hard when all the other characters are so much better.

According to the wiki Rest in 4 is better than it was in Brawl, but not as good as it was in Melee. But it failing to kill a Greninja at 90% doesn't make sense if that was the case. Does Lylat Cruise have really high blast zones?
