SOOO glad i watched this with my guitar in hand, the tips on using the pentatonic scale with strumming + chord shapes was super clear and eye opening!

Will check out that Julijan as that killing floor version was amazing. Randy Hansen is a true impersonator as well. He can really nail that hendrix feel while also still improvising. People like SRV and Mayer always sound more like themselves

Randy is Hendrix with 40 more years of expérience. Check out ALL his videos, dolly dagger, when 6/9, it gets surreal how he is more real and better than Hendrix himself, singing and speaking included.

Love Hendrix but SRV is the man. Like Hendrix, he took what others had done before, bit from here bit from there, then combined it with his style and blew the roof off. Adding that Texas swag to blues rock was just perfection 👌

@@Jamman610 No. Blackface makeup, Afro wig, - just like Hendrix at Monterrey.

@@badlydrawnfrog Yes I knew what you were talking about. Couldn’t do that nowadays. I was being absurd because everyone is so PC. Just like hardware called thru bolts on locks & door closers now instead of sex bolts. And in the MIDI world is master & slave etc, so I hope Fender doesn’t get canceled for their control panels being called black face. Sounds like it was a great show that night.

The colossal planet sized difference is Jimi played all this off the cuff and right off the top of his head and never the same way twice!. These players are playing certain live tracks over and over and over and over trying to get it "right", great players but not Jimi,,,,,,,not even close.

I don't think Julian is a very good player. Randy is a good player, but i don't like his interpretation, it's agressive flashy and not that authentic to Hendrix vibe. Mayer and SRV are a totally diferent thing. Hendrix is the only one of them who nails chord changes in his solos and has way more understanding of music than other guitarists mentioned, except maybe John Mayer. I always liked your playing and approach to the guitar.
