I'd point out that even the clones and jedi seemed to feel bad for the B1 taking care of the beasts on Ryloth as it's an extremely rare example of capturing rather than destroying the poor Droid. They simply closed the cell on him and moved on.

If you’re a B1 Battle Droid, working under General Grievous is basically a death sentence. He hated battle droids and isn’t afraid to use them as cannon fodder or living shields.

Like the clones, the Battle Droids should find their own planet to settle on with the sign "NO ORGANIC OUTSIDERS ALLOWED!" and live alone in peace and away from the battlefields after the war ended. I honestly don't understand why they even made the flying B-1s I suppose an argument could be made they were cheaper than vulture droids or the other droids built with flying in mind, but overall I can't imagine that costs were that heavily cut back on with them being worst than the standard B-1.

It's because the humanoid shape and mechanism lacks vertical capabilities. Jetpacks are probably cheaper than b2 rocket jumper patterns.

mass driver is commonly used irl to refer to electromagnetic accelerator (think: railgun). Apparently, in sw, any ballistic cannon is a "mass driver" be it like real guns or a railgun

Are you saying Roombas are conscious? Because non-conscious things can't _really_ know or feel anything. I do think my phone might be conscious though. But the question is, how can one ever prove empirically that anything other than oneself is conscious? Answer: It's impossible, because conscious experience can't be observed, even in principle, unlike every other physical thing known to exist! I mean, what would it even mean to observe a conscious experience? Seems like an incoherent concept! (I might be in the wrong discussion thread here...)

I can definitely see where you’re coming from, but as you’ve stated yourself, most droids never were wiped or received upgrades. Even if “killed” the same droid brain just gets hooked up to a new body. Unless completely destroyed, these things are essentially immortal.
