Thank you Travis and Steve for bringing to light the recognition of a great man who stands out among most men who put himself second to the needs of others. We need more people like him now more than ever. Great jobs Guys.

Great episode!! John Stark was damn near super human. Thank you for sharing this experience with us! You take care now!

Much admiration for you two guys for getting it done and bringing the story to us. Lest we forget..

I came here from the Donner Party story re-telling. Absolutely brilliant, thank you so much for doing this. It really helped bring it alive, especially in a story of such tragedy and moral ambiguity. Some people rose to the occasion, like John Stark. Others were shown up for thieves, amongst other things. Please do more of these! Thanks again

It's crazy that you don't have more subs/views than you do... One of the most quality KZbinrs out there today. Keep on truckin!

That was interesting. Thank you. Especially for the good advice at the end.

Great video as usual. People were more used to facing hardships back then, but I imagine knowing the children would die if he gave up was Stark's best motivation to continue.

Thank you both. Always top quality content. My team won a few futsal (indoor soccer) matches that were going against us, by means of dumping an energy gel with 15 minutes to go.

Interesting video, Travis, I enjoyed the historical experiment. It is one thing to read about accounts, but it’s another two actually engage in the activity that these people did.

toes down on the shoes. it may not be snowing when you set them down, but a strong gust or some snow and now your shoes are buries. with toes down they'll still stick out the snow.

Ok not going to lie but if you pulled out some homemade "jerky " at the end would have made it just a little more epic 😂😂 great video sir

No lie I made some beef jerky for the trip, shame it didn’t make it into the episode

Toes down... I'm assuming... logic tells me if it snows, I have a greater chance to lose them if they're flat. 6:26

Wow, what a trial for you guys and just imagining a 220 pound man in old-fashioned clothing and probably poor boots with feet getting wet, not good tech modern ones. Unimaginable. It sure is beautiful country but in winter and blizzard conditions, unforgiving and frightening.

Interesting experiment, I feel that it was not realistic though as sandbags are harder to carry (using hands) than bodies (on backs). Also men were used to hard work more than now
@callum48636 ай бұрын
As a builder I disagree. It would be more difficult to maintain a center of gravity with actual limp bodies than with weighted bags you can hang low at the end of your arms.

The best "Northern California" way to celebrate would have been smoking some of that *DANK SHIT* from the emerald triangle 💨
