Don't forget when The Joker kind of ruined Supermans marriage to Lois by poisoning her, telling her that the andidote was inside his ribcage and the only way to save Lois was to kill him. Batman, convinced Supes not to do it...because he's batman I guess. Lois flatlines for about 10 seconds before coming back to life. when Lois find out why she almost died she left clark for a while.

I'm sorry, but I HATE when people say Brian Azzarellos version of joker was inspired by Heath. That design for the character was drawn and worked around with for that book way before Dark Knight was ever being written. It was just a happy coincidence (that probably aided sales tbh, besides Bermejo's gorgeous art) that it came to shelves after the movies release. But yeah, technically that book started the concept of that design before the movie not vice versa.

He then drives hundreds of gothamites insane, leading them to eat anyone or thing in their sights, including humans, while screaming "Eat to live, EAT TO LIVE". freaky

I'd say that, although the murder of Jason Todd is one of the most defining events in Batman's lore (Batlore?) and maybe even in comics as a whole, it isn't the Joker's most sickeningly twisted moment. I would've given that spot to the Sarah Essen murder, or skinning Monty. I think the (further) psychological trauma he forced on Harley in New 52's _Suicide Squad #14_ could've squeezed its way onto here somehow, particularly with the Joker revealing the many, many girls he manipulated to Harley. Just my thoughts, and I thought this list was great as it is.

I liked Jared Leto's interpretation of the Joker. Those who noted comparisons with Jim Carrey's Ace Ventura and The Mask forgot Jim Carrey also did The Cable Guy and played the Riddler. I think Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Mark Hamill, and Jared Leto all brought their own very distinctive interpretations to the character.S.x.
