When I got started it was nutrition specialist, psych Dr, sleep study or osa diagnosis and egd. I was approved with 48hrs . My HW was 252 and CW 130. But it's been over a decade. You got this babe.

I'm 3 and a half years after having Gastric Sleeve. My surgery was April 19, 2018 and I went from 319 lbs to 165 and still maintaining. I understand the process was HARDDD. For the sleeve you go through the same process you did. Congratulations and the after process is mentally hard but you will do GREAT.

I think the chalky substance was a barium swallow. I’ve had that experience once about 30 years ago.

Hey ty! These videos couldn’t of came sooner. I JUST finished the last steps. I did the endoscopy, sleep study, nutritional classes, cardiovascular stuff, and pulmonologist. SOOOOO much work but it’s all worth it in the end. Hopefully I get my surgery date next week!! Thanks ty. Congrats 🎊🎉

@@tinam3671 none. I’m only 340 pounds. I assume like dr nows 600 pound life show they only have to lose a certain amount of weight because they are over 600 pounds so it’s super dangerous for doctors to operate on them. I’m healthy and young so I am assuming that’s why I don’t have to lose any pre weight because it’s not too much of a risk to operate on my size compared to 500 and up (maybe even 400 and up)

@@bextasy2361 thanks hun I'm 26 I'm btw 330-325 weight keeps going up n down. But yeah I'm with anthem bcbs I've been in the process for about 4-months. I keep getting scared that I'm not gone get approved because of nutrition guidelines I know they want u to change eating habits n stuff. Kinda getting stressed out lol. But I did lose about 15-20 pounds give or take. Since I've started. Go back Monday

Hey Ty.. I told you its alot of prep work even before the bypass. Im surprised you didnt see the psych consult yet. To make sure you are prepared to change your body image. I knew about all the tests and procedures already. Been there done that hunnie... Soon you will have the actual surgery then you go thru all the post op stuff next. The appointments the liquid diet the liquid protein , baby food diet. Then you gotta have your $$ ready to get your total body lift, to get rid of all the excess skin.. You are absolutely right when you said there's a lot people don't talk about when it comes down to the gastric bypass I had a gastric bypass 11 years ago 5 years ago I had it reversed and had the sleeve done

@@tinam3671 because my stomach kept closing so I went to a different doctor and she investigated and said that my intestines and my stomach were smart and they knew that they didn't belong together so they had to reverse the gastric bypass and give me the sleeve thank you for asking

Just guessing was the stuff you had to swallowed called Barium? (Or something close?) My wife had to for her clearance because she had GERD issues. It was white chalky, basically a clay. They said to make sure she had it pass within 1-2 days.
