For real though, I think you're hitting on the reason the original pro-paintball scene failed 20 years ago and the new one will probably fail again. Speedball is cool, but it doesn't translate to a game that average folks can play because of the amount of paintballs used. It almost seems like the paintball producers and other paintball equipment companies that sponsor the pro leagues want to promote a game that increases sales of paintballs and pricey equipment over a more basic game. Truth is though almost no one has the money to be spending $100+ per day session just on paintballs - or if you wanna play like these guys easily $250 plus cause you're gonna go through like half a case of paint per game or more.

Worked in a paintball shop, it's a pain. The balls are expensive to buy even as a shop, and they are often damaged. You need a person to check all the bags for damaged paintballs. When they're damaged the bags need to be opened, balls need to be cleaned, weighed and put in new bags. Whole lot of effort just cause they're so fragile and the shipping company's don't handle anything with care

There’s various formats for professional level play. 5 man xball, shown here, is very different than the airball you saw on espn back in the day. The game has boiled down to locking lanes, using comms, and closing rounds out in under a minute. You can also look at 10 man mechanical tournaments on the opposite side of the competitive spectrum. One shot per trigger pull, single finger triggers, often limited paint. Larger fields lower rates of fire. Very different games.

Have you ever played? Yes, your corners are suppressive, but your mid is to work angles. There's not really a "front" you play the sides. You have dorito and snake side. Smaller more agile players take snake because you're diving into it at a full sprint usually.

It does not make sense to expect a “sniping” one shot one kill from a paintball similar to a firearm (although still possible at times with tournament grade paint) This is not war simulation. Players shoot a steady stream of paint to overcome the inherent issues with accuracy of a paintball. Sponsors exist to fund bulk buys for teams and ensure they have plenty to shoot.

F*** was a very versatile god. At times he could range from weak to strong, fast to slow, dum to intelligent. Thus the sayings, overpowered af, weak af etc. Various sources quoted him also as ugly or handsome.

So one hopper? Pass.

Ammo should be limited on your person. Then if you run out, you need to collect it with your team or by yourself. At random locations, i'd keep my ammo then look for more. Might even pick off a few players who are doing the same. This would increase the skill gap alot.

Spray and pray, limit them to 50 ammo and it will actually make a bit of sense... I've been getting these shorts as of lately and in each and every they're just mashing the trigger, absolutely no skill needed

i feel like paintball is more taxing on the body too,, too much agility and reflex needed in the sport compared to air soft i can just camp 😀

No skill? The instant you stop shooting, you get blasted by the other team

I’d bet you all the money I have you and 4 of your friends would never beat the team you’re watching here. Ever. Not a single time.

@@tokko6884 If it makes you feel better about yourself by writing that, good, I''m happy for you! However, I'd like to yet again, elaborate what I wrote, since I never compared myself to these baboons, I stated the obvious, too much ammo, too little skill involved, their body movement is non existent, from the starting position, all they've done is mash the trigger like headless sheep, if you'd limit their ammo pouch, name of the game would change significantly, and as I said, there is absolutely no play involved, if you are rushing who's gonna spray & pray first. Airsoft > Paintball, any time of the day.)

@@MasterRandom101but it realistically can’t. Too much happening, limitations of the gear itself (speed feeds are far from perfect), and much more important things to worry about than half a pod of paint you didn’t even pay for.
