Look at marvel movies, all relatively unknown actors who knock it out of the park! DHT hands down is perfect for the joker in any capacity, but preferably on the big screen!

so glad youtube recommended this to me after binge-watching art the clown content. this gave me goosebumps (the good kind) with how natural the portayal of the character is, down to the tiny mannerisms (if you look close enough). also LOVE how the eyes are very expressive; it really captures the maniacal energy that the joker exudes. it's contagious! i didn't even realize i had a wide grin until half-way through the video😅hats off to you, sir! hope you get casted as the joker in the near future🤞

After watching your performance as Art the Clown, I knew you would be a fantastic Joker! I actually saw this video once years ago, and I'm still impressed. You sound similar to Mark Hamill's Joker, but it still sounds unique. Your voice and facial expressions make Joker seem legitamately insane, which is great. Usually I just see Joker as being very evil and sadistic, but your performance as him captures his insanity pretty damn well. Even your body language was on point! I'd love to see you play Joker in a feature film.

I've always been pro-Dafoe Joker but honestly he's been getting up there in age. Hes almost 70 years old and has been doing movies that i feel are less mainstream than superhero movies (lighthouse, nosferatu, poor things, the french dispatch, kinds of kindness) He doesnt strike me as the type to play opposite a damian wayne era batman or the type to go for a big franchise role. There is someone though who has primarily done horror comedy, would sign on for a franchise, and can pull off a clown who is both scary and funny. That man is David Howard Thornton, the current actor for Terrifier's Art The Clown. He has a passion for Joker as you can see from his roles in fan films as Joker and on his KZbin channel David Thornton where he recorded a rendition of the "one bad day" monologue in full Joker cosplay. He's 44 currently, so in my opinion a perfect age based on what we know about the dceu batman. He would absolutely give the role his all and probably make some promotion on his social media in Joker costume or joking about being 2 clowns (he went to a spirit Halloween in character as art the clown to market terrifier 3) Edit: he said in an interview Joker is his favorite villain of all time and he hopes James Gunn would pick him for the role.

Years ago i was hoping you finally got the joker role. I'm disappointed in DC, the numbers they would do with you casted as joker. They're missing out on a big opportunity. I'm gonna be real honest here, you are better than half of the hollywood actors. You were born to be an actor. I'm so glad you're getting famous now because of terrifer. You deserve it, best character ever. I'm a huge fan of horror and gore films, and after watching tons they all felt boring with no emotion. But terrifier, big masterpiece. Not only that Dan did a great job with the script, you brought the character to life. He doesnt talk, but the face expressions do. Honestly, jaw dropping!
