What happens if you take the world's most capable production truck and swap in the Shelby GT500's supercharged V8? Absolute madness! Today we are off-road testing the Ford F-150 Raptor R - a 700 horsepower monster that not only hits 60 mph in around 3.6 seconds and sounds amazing, but can literally JUMP without breaking! But at a price of $110,000+ USD ($150,000+ CAD here in Canada), can the Raptor R make sense?

From fast-paced Baja-style off-roading, to slow and technical trails that test our navigation skills in the fairly humongous Raptor R we are throwing everything we got, short of intentionally trying to destroy the truck, at this mega F-150. With its main competitor, the RAM TRX, already out of production it is lonely at the top of the truck hierarchy. If I could get a raptor r at MSRP, I would buy one yesterday. I’m in Cali and the markups here are insane!! I hope the markups come down sometime soon so I can buy one. If we are talking MSRP vs MSRP, I rather buy the raptor r all day long. But that is currently unrealistic. So, at their current market prices, I would buy the trx.

I currently own the following: 2019 mustang 5.0 2019 raptor supercrew 2021 jeep Trackhawk And a few more. I look forward to these exact type of videos when I’m in the market for a vehicle. I’m in the market for a raptor r right now. This video was amazing!!! New to your channel. Subbed and liked of course!! If possible, race a stock raptor r vs a trx on the street. Thank you for the nice comment! First of all I’m clearly in the wrong line of work because your roster is amazing lmao I’m jealous. Unfortunately We didn’t get access to a TRX yet.. It would surely be a close race. IMO the raptor r has a better suspension and a MUCH better infotainment system. Depends what’s more important to you. Also we are in Toronto. A few km from cali haha

@@jessiewald4076 I’m just a dumbass with money is all. Lol. I don’t want to do anything to my raptor. I don’t trust this little weak ass v6. I just paid out of pocket for the second cam phaser fix (1st was covered under warranty). Ford paid a small portion but for the most part, I paid it. This engine will not last as long as the first gen Raptor. Watch. As soon as I can get a Raptor r at MSRP, I’m buying the raptor r!! I’ll even do 5k over MSRP. But I have so many cars, I’m in no rush. I paid 4k markup for my Trackhawk so I really don’t want to do more than that. Ford is weak. They keep releasing this weak ass v6, which is why the Rs are marked up like a motha fucka. Anyways Looking forward to more content from you. Dope ass video!!!!!

I love my 17 Raptor, my first ecoboost. Have loved my past v-8 fords. Wish I had 110,000 free money. This would be next to my 17 for sure..
