This whole quietness surrounding Kingdom Hearts is really making me think about that quote that Nomura made at the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra that apparently some kind of change to the series had taken place. I'm honestly starting to wonder if it was bigger than previously thought of.

My guess is that we will still see something during TGS. This years TGS is going to be biggest ever and Square was one of the first companies to confirm attendance. Considering they don't have any AAA games announced, i believe KH4 has a good chance to show up. And btw Square needs to promote games more intensely in Japan because all their latest games (ffvii rebirth and ffxvi) failed in home market. If we don't see kh4 there, i believe it's safe to say that KH4 is in development hell

Nah bro, don't fear monger like that. If you've been around for a long time as a KH fan, you understand that this is all a nornal part of the development and news cycle. The developers only recently finished working on FF7 rebirth. KH4 is being worked on. Just be patient. Most issues stem from fans speculating about news releases when there's no reason to be expecting it.

I honestly I don't care adout KH4 anymore and I'm honestly starting to get into other franchises. The problem that I'm having with the gaming and anime community is that they often keep fans in the dark without giving their fans anything to hold them over all while not giving us any news but will expect us to buy a product that they kept in the dark for years from us when they could give us simple info on the production. We as fans we need to demand some type of transparency, and if they don't want to give it to us just don't buy the game. I kind of get it with sora being in Fortnite, it’s kind of like when you see The Iron Giant in Ready Player One being used as A weapon (with the movie writers completely forgetting the fact that the iron giant chose to be a pacifist rather then a gun). To fans of the franchise, sora is about light, pure hearted, brave and always ready to fight against the darkness, so seeing him in Fortnite as another profitable opportunity would be like going from “let your heart be your guiding key” to Sora hitting the gritty in his 54th match one day after his release.

I think epic games is waiting for kingdom hearts 4 to release or at the very least for an official announcement so they could release the skin at the same time to create hype. It’s pretty normal for epic games to do stuff like this. New Deadpool movie so epic releases a new Deadpool and Wolverine skin. There are some collabs that release but nothing with the series actually happens like with Naruto, my hero academia, and master chief. For cases like those epic games announces an event in game to celebrate the collab. There are very few collab skins that release on their own. That being said there is still no guarantee Sora will release around the same time any kingdom hearts news is announced because I saw from the leaks that a keyblade weapon might be in the works and if that’s the case then epic will be doing a standalone event while official news for kingdom hearts stays silent. It’s still up in the air because the keyblade could also just be a pickaxe skin.

15% of Epic is owned by Disney so it’s going to be easier for them to get Sora into Fortnite. This and fortnite collabs leaks don’t tend to come true until several months later since they’re often leaked right when they start development and they like to save and spread out collabs throughout the year. Most leaks are always wrong, about everything ever. Whenever anything gets leaked, its usually a small percentage of thing's that are true. Also, no kh is a sign that Square Enix is kinda on fire right now, with a bunch of their big releases not making them the money they beleived.
