Nice to finally meet you in person at the camp MG. I think this potential deal with Chicago is the best option for us to improve if Malik leaves in free agency. I don't think the Kings would have to attach a 1st round pick to get this deal done as the Bulls seem pretty desperate to unload Zach's contract but I wouldn't send 2 picks. I checked out a bulls podcast and they were framing it as getting 1 protected 1st rounder in the deal. Hoping this isn't even a discussion when free agency begins. As a Bulls fan the only trade move I would accept from the Sacramento Kings is... Bulls get: Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerters, Trey Lyles or Sasha Vezenkov (money filler), this year 1st round draft pick #13 from the Kings, a future 1st round draft pick unprotected between 20-30 range and a future top 2nd round draft pick between 31-41. Kings get: Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso To me this is more of a realistic fair trade for both sides. As a Bulls fan I can tell you this Sacramento fans, if Zach LaVine is healthy he can easily average between 20-25ppg shooting at a high percentage and as for Alex Caruso he is a versatile juggernaut top defender from 1-5, great passer, high percentage 3 point shooter and provide leadership to your team. That is why both of these guys are at least worth 3 draft picks put together with solid players to match their salaries.

You heard correct bud... for example in the 2022-2023 season when LaVine was healthy, the New York Knicks offered 2 1ST ROUND DRAFT PICKS along with 2 good young players and 1 expiring vet contract for LaVine and the Bulls dumb GM turned it down and wanted more assets. Right now to be realistic LaVine is worth 1 2nd round draft with 2 solid players. If Caruso is involved in the package, then the kings have to offer more then just 2 1st round draft picks at the table

It’s definitely a risk for both sides. Kings would be risking a lot financially with Lavine, but I’ve heard reports that say Lavine clearly states that he will be available to play once the regular season starts up again. Both sides need to make moves to get better and avoid that play-in picture. So imo, this trade could potentially help both sides do exactly that..adding Lavine and Caruso would help bolster kings offensive firepower while also bringing that defensive pedigree that any contender would need. Bulls would clear cap space, and finally revamp their roster around their upcoming combo guard white. My point is, even though this might not be the most attractive deal for both teams, I still think it benefits both in a major way in the near future.

Giving up 2 first round picks is wild. Lavine’s contract has negative value. They would be essentially trading 2 picks and taking on a huge untradable contract for a one year rental of Alex Caruso. Bulls would jump at that trade.

I wasn’t against Zach lavine before this podcast but after hearing how bad that contract is with how many games he’s played, I’m good. Chicago will get desperate and eventually trade Caruso without needing to take on Levine. I’m also okay waiting for a different player to become available or going for kuzma hopefully just giving up expiring contracts and a pick.

I do NOT like LaVine's contract and the number of games he's recently played, only 4 out 10 seasons he's played 80% of games. However, if the Kings can get Caruso in the deal, then that would be better, but still, the Bulls are more desperate than the Kings in this circumstance and I would NOT offer too much, and if anything I would expect the Bulls to give me a pick for LaVine's horrible contract. I just don't trust LaVine tbh and I think the Kings should look at other alternatives.

Caruso by himself is worth easily 2 1st round draft picks and one late 2nd round draft pick. And as for LaVine he is worth in exchange for solid players with at least 1 2nd round draft pick at this point due to his health issues. For example when LaVine was Healthy in 2022-2023 season, the New Yorks Knicks offer 2 1st round draft picks with RJ Barrett, I Quickley and E. Fournier and the Bulls shot themself in the foot and turn it down.

We need our medical staff to have a solid look at Levine. He is a super talent however his availability do to injury is not good and with an outrageous contract if he is hurt we will be stuck with him and the contract for the future. I’m not sure I want to surrender our future that heavily. If he is healthy we would have an amazing team but financial if it doesn’t workout we will suck for about three years until his contract is up and by then we will be rebuilding again. Tempted but for me the risk is a bit to high unless we are not giving up much.

As a Bulls fan I can confidently say IF you can get Zach AND AC? You do it. Does it mean a 'chip? Good lord maybe not. But if in "win now" mode? Yes. As this vid pointed out. The NBA is hard! Tough to find available talent. But you get to a certain spot and give it your best shot. Get Alex? You have YOUR Marcus Smart, Derrick White. Get Lavine? Who is DYING to play in Cali and chose SAC as a prefered destination last season? Oh...thats fun, COMPETITIVE basketball. A defensive 3&D DOG like AC and an EXPLOSIVE offensive threat like Lavine? Zach Lavine was good when he entered the league. But dude has been banged up and honestly he’s not a reliable asset. Alex Caruso would likely only be here for one season before he bolts to Miami or LA. I think Kyle Kuzma would be a safer and more reliable asset.

A couple things… 1. DeAaron will never be the leader we need him to be and this video is further proof. I am dying to see any ounce of accountability from this man. He is very adamant about the team being such a poor free throw shooting team but HE was a MAJOR part of that, his free throw shooting was terrible, especially for a starting PG, but not a word said alluding to how HE must improve. 2. Matt, you said Lavine is a better scorer than Malik and I disagree. It’s all subjective. Lavine has been a starter playing nearly 40 minutes per game so of course his numbers will be higher but if you give Malik those opportunities I believe he can score just as much as Lavine. Just my two cents.
