This video provides a quick review of how Wladimir Klitschko and Vital Klitschko fulfilled The Klitschko Dream.
When the Klitschkos both turned pro in November 1996, the Klitschko brothers had a dream to one day simultaneously hold every major world title in heavyweight boxing. The dream seemed very far-fetched at that time in a stacked heavyweight division, but with many ups and downs and twists and turns along the way, the Klitschko Brothers ultimately achieved their goal against all odds in July 2011.

Vitali pounded Lewis into retirement in that fight. Very unlucky to get cut. But credit to Lewis for knowing when he'd met his match and quitting the game rather than take the rematch.

Lewis fought Vitali fresh off the couch and almost punches his eye ball out the socket. Vladimir looked like a total weasel for not even fighting Lennox. They both avoided LennOX and this documentary proved why. Rummy did a great job but he like a lot of other people didn't bring up the fact that Vlad didn't fight 🤔 Lewis. They both knew better.

This current era which is drawing to close has made me appreciate the Klitschko era so much more. No politics and bullshit with these two they fought the best took care of mandatories and upheld themselves as champions, the contenders of their era fought each other and was active too.

Everyone likes to say how boring the Klitschko bros. were, but I think most people are only remembering Vlad's defense-first style in his latter years. Vitali I would never describe as boring, he threw with regularity and was always coming at opponents with awkward angles that were hard to defend against. Vlad in his younger days was an offense-first fighter, which left him open to big shots from counterpunchers (like those nasty lefts from Sanders), but again I would hardly describe that as boring. It'll be a long time before we see a brother duo dominate the heavyweight division again, if ever.

Not to take anything away from them. I think they were awesome but they didn’t have many interesting defenses during their reign and for how long Vlad held his spot on top it was a boring time. I’m just so happy how spoiled we are now with exciting talent.

I had the honour of being in Wembly for Wladimir's last night and what a fantastic night it was. Both are criticised for their era but to me they provided stability, regular fights and some masterclass performances. Consider this Lewis v Vitali was organised on 2 weeks notice. I don't think we will ever witness total domination like what these 2 brothers did. I'm a twin brother and we loved the Klitschko brothers. They Dominated over a Decade. Between the 2 they had almost 30 straight title defenses. Most fighters today barely fight twice a year. These 2 HOF champs dominated a whole ERA. I saw both use an incredible jab and then came the Steelhammer or Ironfist and lights out. People say boring must think knockouts are boring. It was brilliant boxing using your height. These are still the best 2 Champions since Lennox Lewis retired

People often talk about what a lousy era it was during the Klitschko reign but i think what everyone forgets is that sometimes an era looks bad because champions are too dominant to let any other fighters establish themselves.

No. Most names on Klitchsko's resumes were either washed up, out-of-shapes or never-beens. There was no Fury, AJ or Wilder type fighters, let alone the Tysons, Holyfields and Lewises. The closest Wlad fought was David Haye. And Vitali actually fought an out of shape Lewis and still lost.

Props to Corrie Sanders, even though it wasn't given as a knock down, a straight left landed end of round one and Vitali took a knee and for me, he's the only man to put both Klitschkos on the floor. Corrie Sanders as tough as they come and a hero in how he died. He was at a party with his daughter when armed men burst in and opened fire with automatic weapons. Corrie grabbed his daughter, spun around and turned his back to the bullets and used himself as a shield and he fell on top of her and his last words were "Stay still and don't move, play dead.". He then passed away from multiple gunshot wounds and his daughter took his advice and survived. The brothers tipped their hats and paid tribute to Corrie for this when it happened and said Corrie was a tough man and true champion.

Vitali Klitschko is my favorite boxer. Almost all great boxers have fallen, but Vitaly has never even been knocked down. No one could truly defeat him; his defeats were due to injuries received in battle. He ended the Lewis era and began the Klitschko brothers' era. They became an example for thousands of simple guys from Ukraine and such brilliants as Lomachenko and Usyk appeared. The Klitschko brothers, like Usik, are an example to the whole world that boxing is a sport for gentlemen and not loud women. They behaved with dignity in and outside the ring.

10:48 - I have said this for years and I will forever point out the facts that the Klitschko vs. Brewster (1) fight is nothing but a corrupt set-up fight behind the scenes. The fact that houers before the fight started, the odds changed drastically, despite Wladimir had up till the day before the fight been reported very healthy and observed to be in great condition. The fact that a new team member hired had smothered Wladimir's body with vaselin, when he had claimed it was not + that it has been said that the very same man also had the responsibility of Wladimir's water bottle. The fact that Wladimir during the fight starts out great and is dominating but near from nowhere is drained and his body temperature sky rocketing to levels he is feeling like he is boiling (!) The fact that after the fight there was an investigation by the FBI with suspictions of faul play in the fight and when at the hospital the police requested the urine samples for testings, they are somehow gone from its locked locker - who only the doctors should have had accsess to (?) and no one can answer what happend to them = All shows that there was faul play involved. I don't say that Lamon Brewster was involved in this or had any knowledge either, but there was non the less faul play involved that stole a potential W and resulted in a L that involved dangerous temperings. 21:20 - Wladimir Klitschko was deadly dangerous in his rematches - Samuel Peter, Lamon Brewster, Chris Byrd etc that showed he not only had made his homework, but improved himself greatly. Sadly he was denied rematches against Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders & Tyson Fury, because no one of them wanted to honor him with one. Puritty is the only man honest as he have repeatedly commented that he was near "lucky" in winning that fight as Wladimir gassed himself out and he could capitalize on it due to Wladimir's inexperience - and that he knew he would never win a rematch so he rather wanted to have that "W" and be glad he had it. Corrie Sanders did not want to fight Wladimir again despite Wladimir was near obsessed with avenging that loss. Sanders never openly commented on reasons why, but it has been said he had similar to Puritty not great faith in that he would pull off a victory a 2nd time around. That Sanders had capitalized on Wladimir heavily overlooked Sanders's abilities and had greatly underestimated him. Sanders apperently could have believed a rematch would have been much tougher to win as Wladimir would not have underestimated him and boxed a smarter fight. Tyson Fury was nothing but a coward and a ducker. He was contractual obligated to fight Wladimir in a rematch, and Wladimir had been obsessed and trained his butt off for that rematch as he was so angry on himself for how poorly he had boxed Fury and by his own words "gave away his championship". But Tyson Fury is no man of his words and postpones the fight time- and time again during 2016 and by 2017 Wladimir just gave up and fought Anthony Joshua instead and in a brave effort lost.

One of my favorite boxing documentaries of all time Klitschko from 2011 their coach described them perfectly. “Vitali was made of stone. Wladimir was made of Clay.” Both in their ease to work with and durability Vitali will be one of the most underrated champions of all time. Nice work rummy

It’s funny because Emanuel trained so many great fighters from debut to championship. But Wlad I always consider his signature fighter even over Tommy Hearns (and of course he’s trained so many others). But more so because I believe Hearns would be Hearns under anyone, but Wlad wouldn’t of become the champ he did without Steward. It’s the greatest example of how a trainer can truly make you the best fighter you could ever possibly be

If they weren’t Eastern European they’d be hailed even by casual fans. I heard some try to say that fury beat a prime Klitschko (prime, when Klitschko was 40 and at the end of his career) that’s how little regard and understanding some fans have for Eastern European boxers, especially when wanting to prop up a western boxer (fury in this case). It happened throughout there career, because they weren’t as marketable as other fighters, the boxing media turned on them as it made more interesting headlines rather than talking about how the Klitschko’s just destroyed another great American/British hope.

They were good and will always get hate. I always felt Vitali was better, but what does it matter, legends of the sport. What made the Klitschko's so good was their work ethic. FYI Sanders was highly underrated, yes he was a pro but he did not work near as hard as what a pro boxer should work. He was very laidback and enjoyed his social life far more, he loved hanging with friends and playing golf, no disrespect he loved his life and lived hard everyday, RIP champ.

I believe it was Vitali that told the story when they first met Don King. According to Klitschko, when they met King in a hotel, Don was trying to impress them by playing the piano during their conversation. But, Klitschko isn't stupid. He knew that it was a player piano and King wasn't actually playing. So, they walked out
