The more that I keep listening, the more that I'm thrown back to Cherry Bomb era with the dissonant chorus and HOLY final post-chorus. This is undoubtedly peak NCT 127 in terms of charisma, choreo, and music-something that I have not heard in a long while. This is by far my Top 3 favorite comebacks from that.

This album is the spiritual successor to Neo Zone (aka Kick It album) imo, the whole package, a great sound journey from start to finish. Neo Zone album is still better I think but this comeback has been seeing God so.

I honestly think that 2Baddies is much less neo than most of their title tracks, it has the dense textured production style, but wrapped in the hip hop style I think it really works. I think the vocal layering on the hook is definitely the hit or miss piece as you said. As someone lucky enough to have tickets for the NJ show in Oct, I cannot wait to hear this go absolutely wild live 💚

I’m glad SM has been good at incorporating American/Western style into their concepts/sound/MVs without losing what we love about their groups and Kpop. I know Im not the only one that feels this way. Part of me doesn’t want NCT to ever get to BTS/BP level popularity in the US because I used to be worried about how that would influence the direction of their music/concepts. Potentially not for the better. Like what happened with BTS. You hear alot of ppl say I miss their old stuff/sound. I thought On/Black Swan were stronger songs compared to Dynamite/Butter/PtoD. But most of the attention/awards went to D/B/PtoD.

The MV is made by the same team that made Make A Wish!! So I think it had the same vibes that was very trippy and fun. But the editing in this is much cleaner! AND ALL MEMBERS LOVED THE SONG SO IT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER FOR ME. 10000/10!!!!

Glad to see some Taeyong appreciation, this new side of him he's showcasing is just doing it for me I'm a d d i c t e d Totally get the whole "kpop reaching for the us scene" vibe, hope it'll turn out well for them! I'm not usually a fan of those kind of cb but the quintessential kpop flavor is very present here, all is well balanced so really great job! On a side note the mixed reactions over the song really surprised me, i was genuinely expecting an audience reaction close to the one for "kick it", it just sounded so instantly hyper good to me?? The whole mv feels like a throwback to old hiphop omg the whole vibe of just jamming to the music and having fun, and the neon colours feels a lot like old bigbang’s mvs and some western ones. NOT saying that they copied or any crap like that, im pretty sure that was what they were aiming for and they pulled it off in their very own neo way!! I LOOOVE it, I could tell they had loads of fun (esp taeyong and mark HAHA SO CUTE)

I'm so glad they stick with the full album format every year because I hate it when bg came out with mini/single album every months with so many versions and they sell it with full price like a full album. NCT127 always bring out the style that have been long gone in the time vault, and they refresh it, refurbish it, and make it better and bolder with the sound of the present. As an oldie myself, it's something I really love the most from them.

With the title I really thought it was going to be too cringy but the "2 badies 2 badies 1 porsche" has been stuck in my head since I've listened to it and the production on this is absolutely *chefs kiss*. I also think this was one of Mark's best raps ever. He showed so much charisma and confidence in that first rap that I was genually mouth-open shocked on my first listen. Also I bias vocal line so the amount of rnb tracks on this album has exceled it to one of my favorite nct albums yet.

this song is PEAK nct 127!!! I love all the bright neon colours in the mv and the psychedelic transitions. I didn’t have any feelings about the concept think it would be a typical cool car racer concept, but instead it’s like we’re in wonderland x cars(porches, to be exact ;)? The song is just so freaking fun and you can really tell how excited the the members are for this cb! Wasn’t a fan of the chorus thot it could be a tad more melodic but the outro nananana part saved it for me. The pre-chorus was fire, especially the doyoung & Taeil parts. Jaehyun’s rap was surprisingly good (much better than Lemonade), I hope he projects his voice more tho especially during live performances. The MV I loved at 1st watch. Although disappointing Taeyong the main rapper only had 4 lines, the video had many of his great expressions & moments from him. A true entertainer & scene stealer.

I would argue for the set dressing being empty. Since the song is referencing cars, i think they were trying to emulate a car showroom, especially from 14:05 to the last chorus. In the last chorus of the chanting 2 baddies 1 porsche, they are dancing under the car frame in front of the showroom lights and on the main stage, inferring that they are the porsche themselves.

NCT127 is always just on the cusp of "weirdness"....and it works for them....and I love it....maybe I'm old school, but I loved the "Pimp Cane" Taeyong had and was passing to other members. Classic! I'm a total Czennie, so I love anything they do....but this was an amazing, colorful MV...the raps were perfect (Mark keeps upping his swag game each comeback), the vocals killed (and what? Taeil as an undercover visual??????)...choreo on point. 10/10

It totally reminds me of other title tracks of theirs while also giving something a little bit different. Structure reminds me of Cherry Bomb, a layered chant chorus like Kick It, and some emptiness (?) in the instrumentation in parts kinda like Sticker. But really some vocal surprises and it felt soooooo fun! It totally looked like they had a blast filming it (loved when you burst out laughing a couple time, in a good way. I was chuckling so much cause of all their playfulness; peak TY with that swag along with that stuffed toy hahaaha) In the whole album they are doing some new thangs with their voices and I love the mix of tracks so much!
