My main concern with the Lakers is the amount of one-way players we have. We have guys that all look good and whatnot, but they can’t do it on both ends. You have Bron AD and Dlo. AD’s the best defender in the league, Bron is good at times but you can’t still have him playing much D at all, Dlo is a half decent defender. You out in Reaves and Rui, LeBron is the second best defender on the starting lineup. Put in Reaves and Vando you’re better, but you still have no guard defender if Vando’s taking the best wing and he really struggles offensively. Ideally, my goal would be Max Christie becoming a starter level player and Reaves being our Ginobli with Knecht Rui Wood and I guess Gabe Vincent (I really don’t believe in him) giving us a very solid bench scoring punch.

Good honest takes man. I think the lakers should move Dlo for a big or guard defender. Opens up the guard spot for dalton. Look to trade for the bulls center or valenchunis. Package rui, dlo, gabe Vincent and a first for lavine. But overall we will be better. Jj is miles better than ham. Younger core players got some playoff experience the last two years so I think the chemistry and experience will show this year. I’m predicting a 6th or 7th seat if we stay healthy.

the problem with the 3-point argument is that none of them are in the top 5 but none (the players that matter of course) is in the bottom. Numbers lie!!! DLo wasn't the most consistent but that wasn't the problem. It's a difference from being 9/10 then 5/11...he was 9/10 then 0/11. It's not just him...every player in the league does this, even Curry 5/16 then 9/15. Percent wise that is better but if the other team actually shoot well GS would lose like last year. So, 3's wasn't the problem. Injuries to the big man, pf/c. Then the rotation of players and system they ran influence last season failures.

I'm not too sure if the team is good enough to get far in the playoffs (though I get that last year they lost to Denver) and one injury to any of the major guys would finish their chances. Also don't they have 2 first round picks? And they should be open to giving up anyone not named LeBron or Anthony Davis if it means that the team will improve as a whole. Why? Besides winning, all the players that help the team improve will be more valuable in trades if necessary as well. And some of the guys I listed are good NBA players as well if not potential all stars. Not only that, some of those players might even improve in a winning environment or under veteran leadership. On bad teams, some players will develop bad habits or decision making that won't lead to winning. People can be influenced or shaped by their environment...and that includes players.
