100%. When AD was the leader for like that initial 2 week stretch, the plays cut with energy, they hustled on defense, they passed quickly and often, and everybody looked so engaged. But Lebron’s numbers were down, and his ego couldn’t handle the lack of attention, so he decided to be the man again. Then the pace slowed down, passes happened less often, players moved less, and the defense became lazy. Dude has been hurting the Lakers for the last few years. LeBron doesn't have the energy anymore to be the go to. LeBron ball should be as minimised as possible and let him play off the ball more. And LeBron has to be honest with JJ how much he has in the tank to do a carry job at all times. LeBron can remain a starter to give the first punch but cut his minutes down to 24-28 range. And then find someone else to be the primary decision maker. I think AD can do it, if he can emulate a bit of Jokic, Sabonis, Sengun because I think he can read the game well, but he needs better cutting around him, build up his confidence to make high leverage passes by making it easy for him first. Then he can get better at setting pace and tempo for the whole team. LeBron can't set the tempo anymore, because even tho he can still make the best decisions in this team, LeBron's tempo is something like "conserve energy to last my required 40 mins". And the rest of the team picks up on this energy and pace because he is still the leader of the team. If LeBron is calculating for 24 mins only, then the quality of his infectious energy will be better.
