Why is everyone talking about everything but that Gordon had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on LeBron .LeBron needs to move to the guard spot so they can look for a defensive small forward and a quality big
@jetsettech88045 ай бұрын
Because LeBron was playing where he needed to play. They were letting AD roam, so Bron had to play the post spot. Where Gordon was ending up was exactly where he needed to be. Gordon couldn't have played that any better. That was a failure to adjust the defensive plan. They aren't just simply playing man to man like you probably do on 2k.
@sakhilemalinga1775 ай бұрын
@jetsettech8804 LeBron ended on Gordon on more than one possession, LeBron ended up watching as the man got every rebound and cuts that he wanted. LeBron couldn't stop all of the possessions, but if he could have boxed out to delay Gordon from the rebound or even contests, some of the cuts I do think the score wouldn't have been close in some of those games. Denver could have been had
@jetsettech88045 ай бұрын
@sakhilemalinga177 he didn't "end up" on Gordon because it wasn't man to man. Defense isn't as simple as "I have him, you get the other guy" zone defense exists.

@jetsettech8804 I know you like LeBron but now you just lying LeBron watch him cut in front at the back of him breaking the zone on LeBron. I have been watching a handful of Cavs game and it’s a coaching problem, there were times when Niang got minutes over Marcus Morris and other good solid defenders, Niang can’t guard at all, he’s a walking cone.

I’ve been a Lebron fan for as long as I can remember. I’m 30, so I’ve pretty much watched his entire career. This series proved to me that I was in denial about where he was as an athlete. He had great spurts. He had moments where he showed that he’s an amazing top-tier player, but on defense, it was really, really evident that he declined which is fair, he’s 39. I think a lot of us were in denial because of how much we love LeBron, but this series really prove to me that his age is showing and the Lakers need to figure out a way to keep him, but also help with his deficiencies.
@carrastealth5 ай бұрын
0:38 The most FRUSTRATING THING about this sequence, is we can visibly see Prince telling Rui to go cut Murray off, because he knows the play just like we all do. And Rui halfheartedly doesn't even commit to doing it. Rui was the most frustrating aspect of the series on both ends. If Rui decides to actually have a hustling bone in him, he goes and meets Murray there and stops the jumper or at least puts further pressure so Murray has to force up a tougher shot or pass. But he didn't want to commit, despite Prince yelling at him to go cut Murray off and even PUSHING him in that direction, and Rui refuses to even give effort, and Murray gets an easy shot. Rui frustrated me the most this series, especially after he played so well last season in the Playoffs, this year he just fell off on both ends, but most importantly he fell off in terms of any of the effort he showed in the regular season.

One of the key things you pointed out is that Lebron is regressing, albeit slowly. Do you think, with adding another star level talent that LEBRON himself can acknowledge that he shouldn't carry the team as much? Because this wasnt the situation in Miami or CLE when fellow stars like Bosh and Love had to diminish their roles. Do you think Lebron could willingly do that the way they did? I don't, and I don't think it will be any easier for a new coach to walk in and gain respect from Lebron if he didnt have anything to do with their hire.
@jetsettech88045 ай бұрын
It's not necessarily that they need a star talent. They just need consistency. D-lo was supposed to be the 3rd scorer. Your 3rd scorer cannot be that inconsistent. It's just a matter of getting consistent nights from roleplayers
@manuelcardenas79585 ай бұрын
What are you even talking about? People swear lebron has this huge ego because of the narratives that came out when he was in Miami, Lebron is not taking as many shots as before, he is always trying to get his teammates involved, and he has no problem with other guys taking the shot as long as it is a good shot. Remember when he gave the ball back to Dlo? What do u think that was? Lebron is not MJ, he can stay in the NBA even while scoring 15 pts, but then he will have 15 assists too.

So I guess leave KCP open at the 3 point line? Rui didn't come to help, because of that. Hell, if Rui goes to help on Murray, KCP could set a screen for MPJ to run open. I get that coaching from Ham has been lackluster, but that shot happened because every Nugget on the floor was a threat. LBJ couldn't help because of the Gordon lob threat. AD was dragged farther away, because Jokic is also clutch from the mid-range. Prince can't leave MPJ for any reason ever. KCP is the weakest link, offensively, but could set a screen for MPJ after Rui abandons him or make an open 3. Literally nothing but poison to choose from in that possession.
@yepperzify5 ай бұрын
but that shot was only a possibility because Darvin Ham is horrible at making adjustments. Lakers lost like every 2nd half in that series. A fan can’t have faith in their team lol. I knew deep down we were going to lose, but I still picked the lakers to win. Also what were we supposed to do as fans? Should we have gone and fired him ourselves? Your point about AR15 is fair, but with that logic how was Prince playing so many minutes? Nearly every lineup he was in had a negative net rating, and this is the point you don’t get. We don’t have a problem with Darvin making adjustments like benching Austin if he plays bad, but his treatment of players isn’t equal across the board. The Cavs has a big coaching problem and a problem where the starters don’t always get many touches, but what cost them is definitely coaching. When I saw Niang being subbed in for many better players to play defensively it costed them for two games and the 5th game they had the better lineup. But game 1-2 there was times where Jarrett Allen is getting less minutes which tells me Bickerstaff do not know what he’s doing. Ontop of that he don’t adjust when the team needs to adjust to win the game.

@@unknownfan358 Absolutely. game 4 I was begging and begging JB to sub out Garland maybe put Donovan Mitchell at the point and have Sam Merrill played the 2. Switch out Niang or Strus for Marcus Morris and let Thompson get some minutes in for rebounding. Anything besides letting Okoro/Niang/Strus/Levert combine you for less then 18pts.

@@jayfiggs4656 My friend is a Cavs fan and he was more happy that Mobley got that block because if he didn’t he’ll be rolling in his Cavs jersey for nothing, that man has dished out years of irrelevancy and yes I hope the Cavs make it out of the first round, it’s the step in the right decision. But when I see the Celtics vs Cavs it’s not gonna be pretty since Bickerstaff is a choke artist when it comes to adjustments and such.

Sucks that Lebron and AD gets less blame for blowing games than KD does for simply getting outmatched while balling out

The Lakers need to trade everyone over the age of 25 and actually build and nature talents instead of looking for quick fixes and big names. They could have drafted Fox over Ball and they could have kept B.I instead of trading him away for who can't lead a team. The Lakers need to take notes from the Thunder, Celtics, and Nuggets.

Couldn’t sound more bias with the LeBron statement lmao… it makes sense for him to go to Miami and Cleveland are two teams that actually make sense

I felt like AR should’ve came off the bench to lead the 2nd unit. He’d still get starter minutes and closing minutes but he’s not as useful as a spot up shooter he needs to get down hit and in rhythm same as Dlo. Max Christe could’ve had a ceiling of prime Danny Green or even KCP or Caruso which fits what LeBron and AD thrive with but Hamilton benched him in favor of Reddish and Gabe who wasn’t even better than Dennis was for us and Max is the best athlete off the bench besides Hayes.
