Yup, I had a poster of the Diablo on the wall, along with a Saleen S7 and 996 Porsche 911 Turbo. Maybe a Ferrari F50 as well. I wouldn't mind having the 911... As far as Lambos go I think the Gallardo is probably the only one that will ever be in financial reach of the middle class, and my soft spot is for that and the Murcielago. The Diablo never captured my imagination the same way.

It must be very difficult to nicely tell the car owner, "I'm going to be doing a lot of talking but it's to the camera so I can make my video, so for these parts I'm not actually talking to you so please don't respond." Like, it's the guy's car and you can't really dictate to him what he's going to do in it while he lets Doug drive it. I kind of wish he wasn't saying "yeah" every five seconds though.

6:45 the keyring on the middle section is actually sort of smart, because the ignition lock is a central point of failure by wearing out because ppl thend to have a lot of weight in form of keychains and that is stressing the lock. Having the keyring centered minimizes the impact of the keychain things on the ignition lock mechanics. never seen that either before - very interesting :-)

Cars haven't changed much at all. They've just been riddled with electronics and 'entertainment systems' and bullshit that doesn't belong in a car, in order to say 'ALL NEW' to mindless consumers. Meanwhile, the underpinnings are still just normal cars, neutered and bland thanks to electric inputs/outputs. That is why you'll find alot of true automotive enthusiasts love cars from the 90's. The cars were being built as well as the manufacturer knew how to do, even regular economy cars, which resulted in legendary cars that are still amazing to this day. Then post 2000, the businessmen in suits came into the equation with suitcases full of predetermined obsolescence, the engineers were sent to the back room along with the quality vehicles people came to expect.

Thanks for the video Doug. You shift into reverse by pushing the shift lever down. Not twisting it. The color code is hand written for any custom color. But Rosso Vik was not a custom color for the Diablo, it had been around for some time. I think someone repainted that hood and used a blank sticker instead. On mine the sticker is fully printed, and it also is for all of the other cars I have looked at. Never seen a handwritten paint label.

The original Diablo came out in 1990, and this car is still based on that chassis. Thus, this is a quintessential 90's Lambo.
