It must be very difficult to nicely tell the car owner, "I'm going to be doing a lot of talking but it's to the camera so I can make my video, so for these parts I'm not actually talking to you so please don't respond." Like, it's the guy's car and you can't really dictate to him what he's going to do in it while he lets Doug drive it. I kind of wish he wasn't saying "yeah" every five seconds though.

The Diablo never captured my imagination the same way.

The Diablo was involved in most pre-underground Need For Speed titles since the very first installment for 3DO, PC, Sony PlayStation, etc, and also returned in more recent titles after being succeeded by the Murcielago and Gallardo. Cars haven't changed much at all. They've just been riddled with electronics and 'entertainment systems' and bullshit that doesn't belong in a car, in order to say 'ALL NEW' to mindless consumers. Meanwhile, the underpinnings are still just normal cars, neutered and bland thanks to electric inputs/outputs. That is why you'll find alot of true automotive enthusiasts love cars from the 90's. The cars were being built as well as the manufacturer knew how to do, even regular economy cars, which resulted in legendary cars that are still amazing to this day. Then post 2000, the businessmen in suits came into the equation with suitcases full of predetermined obsolescence, the engineers were sent to the back room along with the quality vehicles people came to expect.

The original Diablo came out in 1990, and this car is still based on that chassis. Thus, this is a quintessential 90's Lambo. The year of production is irrelevant, and should not be used to determine the era it belongs to. I would assume that basic logic could bring any simpleton to this conclusion.

Thanks for the video Doug. You shift into reverse by pushing the shift lever down. Not twisting it. The color code is hand written for any custom color. He later ran Lamborghini Orange County until the financial crisis of 2008 resulted with him in significant legal troubles (and some pissed off customers!)

But Rosso Vik was not a custom color for the Diablo, it had been around for some time. I think someone repainted that hood and used a blank sticker instead. On mine the sticker is fully printed, and it also is for all of the other cars I have looked at. Never seen a handwritten paint label.

Having the keyring centered minimizes the impact of the keychain things on the ignition lock mechanics. never seen that either before - very interesting :-)
