@@GraveVisitations Is it flooding because of the housing they built up around it ? They made the house higher and it drain towards the grave yard? If that is the case that is very sad!
@Cheetoluv

As I watched I did notice the building, apartments are built up higher, so it’s going to push the water into the cemetery because it’s lower. That is very sad that the town council let this happen and didn’t figure out better drainage for them building next to the cemetery 😢

Vandeleur arrived at the gates of Heaven. He saw people, in ragged clothing, marching in line inside. Saint Peter told him he had come to the wrong place. Van was angry and asked why he couldn't enter "like the peasants". St Peter responded "these were the lovely people you evicted from their homes. I'd suggest you take that downhill road over there. It's a long hill but your place has been reserved".

Also referred to as "The Port City”, Saint John New Brunswick Canada became a leading industrial centre in the nineteenth century, mostly due to a robust shipbuilding trade. The city quickly grew, with the largest influx of immigrants occurring during the Irish famine of the 1840s, adding "Canada’s most Irish City” to its list of names.

How old are the oldest ones in the graveyard? I love the Emerald Isle! Many of my ancestors came from Ireland and I can’t wait to visit again. I agree with your motto and I try to live my life like that! I have been known to give to people I have known, even when I couldn’t really afford it. A couple of my ancestors (Burke and Price) came over when the famine broke out! They could, luckily afford it when they sold most of their possessions and pooled their resources. I have volunteered in soup kitchens and given what I could to help others. I don’t use these gifts as tax credits and I often donate things/ resources anonymously. Not for my glory, but for His glory and my appreciation for all that I have been blessed with and given in my life. Blessings to you both and your channels are some of my very favorites on KZbin! Thanks for all you guys do!!

Hello from Nevada USA! I have just recently subscribed to both your channel and Serenity Sue. You both do great work! These old graveyards are very interesting to see. Many people here in America have ancestors from Ireland, so Americans tend to have a special place in their hearts for anything Irish. I like that you both are brave enough to peek into the old crypts, I think many people are curious about what's inside. I find it ironic that Vandeleur had that huge mausoleum built for himself and his family, but now it remains half empty still. This watery old cemetery reminds me of New Orleans, Louisiana. There people can't be buried in the ground, because the water table is so high that the caskets would just come back up to the surface. So the cemeteries there are full of old crypts and mausoleums. They are so full that it is customary that after a long time is passed, a deceased person's remains will be taken out of what is left of their coffin, the bones are moved to the back of the vault, and the old coffin disposed of, so that space can be made for new dead people. I love your videos and those of Serenity Sue! Keep up the great work! 🧡🤍💚☘

Mr. Vandeleur reminds me of George Pullman of Chgo. Invented the Pullman train car. Built a factory and industrial town for the employees to live in. At first it seemed like a good idea to the employees. But Pullman charged as much for rent as the wages the employees brought home. He kept them broke and in need of the job. By the time he died, he was so despised- his grave in Graceland Cemetery (I believe) is covered by a small dance floor sized slab, as his family feared he would be dug up and torn to bits. We must always remember that not everyone with a fancy headstone buried in a graveyard was a good person.

Some thoughts on the mausoleum @ 46:22 seems to have an anomaly. The mausoleum looks to be around 21 US. feet wide. Sorry folks I think in US measurements. :/ The doors look to be a total of 3 foot wide. So I held a ruler / scale up to the screen and I found that there are a total of 7, 3 foot long segments to the width of the mausoleum. Same as 7 doorways from one side to the other. So 7 x 3 foot = 21 foot. Now when we looked in the mausoleum, the main isle looks to be the same 3 foot wide as the door. The coffin shelves look to be 3 foot wide as well. So 3 foot x 3 = 9 foot in visible space on the inside of the mausoleum, in width. So I then looked at the possible wall thickness. Looking at the blocks in the wall and knowing that in many cases the blocks are usually 1/2 as thick as the block is long. So that means the blocks are around 2 foot long then they would be 1 foot thick. So we take the left wall thickness and the right wall thickness and add them together. That = 2 foot + the known viewable space we calculated to be 9 foot. ( 2 + 9 = 11 foot). Next we will guess the inner walls that run along side the side of the coffin shelves are each 1 foot wide. So we then take 11 + 2 = 13 foot. We have now accounted for 13 foot of space in the 21 foot width of the mausoleum. So 21 foot wide - 13 = That's at least 8 foot of unaccounted for space. So that leaves me to believe that there is a void of 4 foot on each side. Now this space could as well be used by thicker walls and maybe even the void being filled with rubble, chipped rock and so on. Some how I just expected the in side viewable space to be much larger. I also noticed that looking at the out side side wall looks much longer then it dose when we looked in to the door grates in the front door. So if we look at the length really quickly, . The front and back wall are each 1 foot thick = ( 2 foot ) + 2x 6 foot coffins = 14 foot. Now add 2 foot for the center wall / archway and we get 16 foot in length !?!?!?! A quick trip back threw the video and I counted that the side wall is 13 blocks long. Each block being estimated to be 2 foot long, that would give us a building that is 26 foot long. So we take the total length of 26 - 13 foot of wall thickness and coffin shelves length's = 13 foot of unaccounted for space in the length of the mausoleum. so for fun we take and x the two unaccounted for space values we get ( 13 foot in length and 8 foot in with ) 13x8= 104 square feet of unaccounted for space. So what dose this mean? " ABSOLUTELEY NOTHING "! Well some moron ( that would be me :/ ) has way to much time on his hands or simply noticed that the viewable "open" space in side the mausoleum did not seem to match the over all size of the building. See I notice stupide things like this. :/ Then they bug me for a long time. Like another great video of yours that was shot I think in France? The mausoleum where so vary short and narrow. The walls did not have enough girth or depth to hold a coffin let alone an urn. So the interments must be under the floor. The same floor people walk on to enter the mausoleum ????????
