The Last Guardian is an action-adventure video game developed by genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio, and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. The game is designed and directed by Fumito Ueda, and shares stylistic, thematic, and gameplay elements with his previous games, Ico (2001) and Shadow of the Colossus (2005). In The Last Guardian, the player controls a young boy who befriends a giant half-bird-half-mammal creature, Trico, and the two work together to evade guards that are after them both. The player must manipulate Trico as they would a real animal, such as luring it with food, to use it to reach high platforms or other remote places, while evading enemies.
The Last Guardian's story is framed as a flashback narrative told by an older man recounting his experience as a young boy meeting a giant, feathered creature, resembling a griffin, named Trico.

arank001 Right!? I feel like a lot of negative reviews are from people who didn't bother reading the hints and tried to rush their way through. And if Trico didn't come the very second they called it, they written it off as bad controls or gameplay. He isn't supposed to listen to you fully. He acts as his own creature. It is the point of Trico's AI. You have to understand it's cues.

I've was never a big gamer. I was the youngest of 3 siblings and grew up watching my older sister and brother play video games like final fantasy and I would just watch since there were only 2 controllers. Since then, I've only really played FIFA, but when GTA 5 came out I went ahead and purchased it. Since I was a novice, your walk though really saved me. Then I got tomb raider and completed it with YOUR help. Since then, I watched all of your videos, even though I didn't have the games, because I was still playing on an Xbox 360. I couldn't/can't afford a new console or games, but I still love video games! Your videos are so fun to watch and if I can get a new console, I will definitely be playing alongside your videos! :)

I think I'm going to like this playthrough, despite the fact I'm sure you'll miss twenty thousand or so things in the process ;)

Well in this case, he's forgetting. In the future parts he forgets some key things, like petting Trico after the big guy has to fight, small things that make a big difference in the long run. ^.^ If you know Brad at all, he's always going to forget some of the important basics no matter what game he plays, in his charmingly frustrating way. :)

These animations are about as good as games can get currently... The detail in every little thing is exceptional, the AI in the creature behaves and acts as well as moves like a real creature... It's more an emotional experience than anything can currently offer... Right up there with Journey and every previous Team Ico game... I fail to believe ANYONE can see this and think "This looks bad"... Some will not like it, but to assume no one else likes it is extremely narrow minded and being unable to see what parts of it other will like is extremely apathetic

I like these videos and I've just started watching recently, but it's really frustrating that you aren't very good with puzzle games. You're almost annoyingly slow to figure out even the most obvious puzzles in every video I've watched so far. Such as pulling the spear out even after narrator cues, the lighting and even the platform, all point that you to go up to the spear first. Maybe it's because you're more worried about recording the video and talking so you aren't really paying attention but yeah that's irritating.
