Absolutely killing it in her role. A fierce yet tender mother and wife, a brilliant Lady of Wessex and she's not only humanized her piety -she's made the character both accessable and relatable!! I have to say, from the books I really hated Ælswith, I felt she was somewhat flat (sorry, Bernard) -but she's so much more on screen. I get it. I understand her motivations better now than ever -thanks to Eliza Butterworth's immense talent. It really is a pleasure to be constantly amazed by the acting from the cast of The Last Kingdom.
