There are 2 reasons why pc version is always late, the most important is the second one. 1) The graphic options are way beyond what consoles can handle, so they have to update every part of the game to fillup with high-end PC 2) The game is about to be cracked on day one, so tons of $$$ lost for the studio

Not really… when making a port for pc the draw distance options are already available on the engine just some minor optimisations need to be made what takes long is switching from console API to PC API unless they add ray tracing or any new graphic technology it will take longer 😌

Actually am really mad that they didn't just release tlou and part 2 at the same time on pc. Also, that's not the case. Naughty Dog gives 0 fucks about the TV show. Most likely, the game is in the polishing phase. Also, FSR 3.1 just became available for devs back in June. I just don't understand the devs. If they want to make the game run amazing on pc, all they have to do is stop implementing in performance shaders, and implement Nvidia's mesh shader technology. That's what they used for Alan Wake 2 and the game runs really well for what it is.

3 simple reasons. Sony wanted part 1 pc players to buy a ps5 to also buy part 2 to maximize rev. Reason #2 is optimization, they didnt want to repeat part 1 again as that game still has lots of issues and controversy. Last but not least to release by the show, gives them more time to optimize it too.

@@hsd287 sure but no at the same time, TLOU 2 is a game that’s foundation is built on 2013 hardware, yes it looks like and it’s been “upgraded” despite no graphical improvements but any game high end gpu that came out after 2013 should run this game fine any gpu after 2020 should run this game at with no problem at 120fps. Part 1 on pc was just a lazy port that’s still broken because of horrible engineering, updates and coding not because of hardware

It sucks why they're holding onto it but none the less I'm so excited. Because the PC port will allow the game to be experienced like it never has been before. The reason being that PC hardware is just generally better than console stuff. For example I'm able to run TLOU1 On pc at all ultra with 60-75 fps consistently in 1080 or 1440 resolution and it looks absolutely beautiful. Much better than it can even on the PS5. My issue with playing this game on PS4 when I had one is that the graphics weren't really the best cause its a very demanding game. I'm really looking forward to playing Part2 with ultra settings and being able to see how beautiful the game is able to look with PC hardware.

That's just the way modern games are, unfortunately. Things like RT, DLSS, and improving hardware are allowing them to throw games out without worrying about how they'll perform. Hopefully, the 50 series cards will help, but most likely they're gonna go up in price even more

Well I happened to have PS3 for free basically back in the day and then my PC broke so I got TLOU1 to entertain me for a while and it was one of the very best game stories I ever experienced. HOWEVER, I am NOT buying a whole ass system just to play TLOU2 and I guess Demon Souls (though I still have that PS3 and a still sealed original Demon Souls disc). With PS exclusives coming to PC there's even less incentive. I'm glad to see TLOU 1 and 2 come to PC, and I also want to snipe Ghost of Tsushima on a sale. Would also be cool to see Uncharted 3 (and 2) on PC, never had the chance to play it and I don't think getting it for PS3 in 30fps is gonna be a fun experience now.

After the PS5 Pro reveal, I have a strong sneaking suspicion why this or Demon's Souls or other games where they could get free money from PC have not been releasing on PC. I for one own a PS5 and a powerful PC. If all these games hadn't came to the PC I would easily buy the Pro but at this point no way Jose, I would love to play this and Demon's Souls again with better graphics, frame rates, but not for $700 lol
