For the first time ever a game has brought tears to my eyes. I, myself, have a brother named Sam. He is my only sibling and I love him to death. Watching Henry commit suicide made me cry like a little bitch for the first time in many years. Then the juxtaposition of seeing Joel happily reunite with his brother made me cry like a little bitch again. The second time was tears of joy though. I can't believe I slept on this game for so long. Thank you so much for uploading this. This game will be the first game I get after I get a PS4.

this game is amazing, my favorite is the ending the reason why is that if you watched the part where Joel was taking Ellie to the car and escape and was stopped by the leader, he had a choice to save humanity or Ellie, he choose saving Ellie and killed the leader, and when they escaped and returned home Ellie wonders what happened and Joel lied about what happend, Ellie later then asked Joel to swear to her if what he said is true and he said yes, the choices that Joel makes in that ending explains what not what a hero would do but what of a man does, his choices represents reality and what humanity is like today, people whould do anything to get what they want and they have to sacrifice what's important to others to themselves, Joel had been through so much and losing his daughter was the worst thing that happened to his life and its what hurts him the most making him become a different person but when Ellie came to his life, she was like his second chance to have the life he had lost and because of that he did not want to lose her again like he did in the past, so when he had to make a choice to save humanity or Ellie he choose Ellie cause she's the only thing he has left in his life since he lost so many people in the journey, I understand his choices and so do others people in reality should do the same thing if they were in a situation like this, people do not want to lose something or someone that is so special to them and they would do anything for it to save them even if they have to sacrifice humanity to do so and that is what makes the game very amazing.

i appreciate you taking the time to put this online. but i couldn't get over your extremely annoying movements. it looks like you're bored to tears. I'm sitting here wanting to watch the cut scenes and just in the beginning of the game where you play as Sarah, you miss all of the setup action. The gas explosion, the action once they hit traffic getting to the 71. whats the point in watching this if you're not going to focus on what the game tries to make you focus on? the entire point of the prologue is to set you up for the entire game. you missed all the severity that was taking place. thankfully there are scenes without your controller input.
@glp9 жыл бұрын
Nergal1118 You're absolutely right. All I can say is that In my opinion everything else well put together and played fine. What happened in that scene, which is the one several people have brought up here, was that we were livestreaming when we played. It was the night it came out. When the player was playing, everyone in the chat was telling him to look all the way around. We couldn't get over how amazing it looked on the PS4. When I edited together I didn't consider how bad that moment was until people started mentioning it here. We messed up, that's all there's to it. But I do believe the rest of the gameplay and editing is just fine. It's not that we were bored to tears, just amazed. And that's why we don't livestream for game movies anymore, because you literally play the game different than you would for a game movie.

This game is my favorite I have ever played or watched. Even the cutscenes alone are enough to bring out all of your emotions throughout. I have watched and played the game several times and this video was honestly my least favorite. Sorry to the makers of this channel but the way you played I didn't like. You avoided some conversations that build the characters and didn't put in many smaller important scenes that help escalate the mood. Also you cut out music and sounds in certain scenes and it takes you out of the scene when your watching and everything goes silent. The game developers put the sounds for a reason and in my opinion they should be kept there. Again I do love this game and thank you for putting it up for many to enjoy but I wanted to put my thoughts up for you to (possibly) read
@glp9 жыл бұрын
Brandon Henderson I feel like you make fair and honest points. At lot of parts that are excluded happen because of copyright reasons. I would never want to cut out music on my own accord, but some of those songs will block the video worldwide. Other times they won't block the video, but we would lose the right to monetize the video. A lot of people feel that we shouldn't monetize the videos anyway. While I see merit in that argument, I will also say that you have to remember that we use our money to buy these games, take our time to play them and edit them. I feel like our videos have enough gameplay and editing to merit our own monetization. We in no way take credit for Naughty Dogs' brilliant work, but we put our own work to make them our own edits. The crazy thing is that the copyright issues don't even come from the game companies, they come from the music companies. 99% any issue with copyright will be because the game company licensed the songs from a music company. Game companies are mostly fine with people using their footage. Copyright issues aside, I'm sure there are cuts that had nothing to do with copyrighted music that you didn't enjoy. I personally like to edit the videos for the common viewer. My goal when editing together game movies is to show the main story as complete as possible while not adding an excessive amount of extra dialogue. You're right; a lot of it is good, and important sometimes. This video could have easily been 5 to 6 hours long if I added everything. And I think there is an audience for people who want that sort of COMPLETE experience. But at the same time, I have to make choices when editing. I have to decide what I should cut and what I should keep, so I can keep the video as streamlined as possible. There are certain conversations that might highlight Joel and Ellie's relationship even further, for example, but I felt there was already more than enough in the video, so I decided not to include it. I always appreciate constructive feedback, and I think that anything that you work on can always get better. I'm always trying to get better. I 100% know this could have been better because I would say that about any vid. But I also believe a lot of the problems come down to copyright issues, or maybe you just don't like my style of editing. But that's okay in my book, you're not going to love everything you watch. There are a lot of other people who did their edits to the Last of Us, and I know there will be someone who edits more to your taste. Thanks again for taking the time to watch, comment, and give some real feedback.

@glp10 жыл бұрын
The thing is, we record in 30fps since we know it's going to get compressed down anyway. That way the filesize is smaller. So we don't even have it in 60 fps. If it were 60 fps all the recordings would add up to over a terabyte. The final file for the game movie would be somewhere between 40 to 50 gb. which I think would be an unrealistic download for most people. =(

I love Ellie and I love Joel, but most of all I love their relationship. Also, I understand that there are circumstances in their world that they have to deal with. However, I can't help but feel like what they're doing is wrong? Like, there are some instances where I know that the killing wasn't necessary, but I also understand that this is the kind of society where it's kill or be killed and I don't really know how to feel about it? Because...the ending?? Joel?? Was that necessary?? ~SPOILERS AHEAD~ In my opinion, I think that Joel should have just left her there to get the cure, but j also understand that there were risks with just letting them use her like that. On one hand, no one would believe that there IS, in fact, a cure to the infection, nor would they be able to make enough for the entire USA, if not the world (I'm not sure how far the infection spread exactly). They could have given it a shot, but in the long run, I think it still would have been pointless in the end. Do YoU sEe My PrObLeM

So after Ellie mutilates David (Which was awesome) and Joel is hugging her, his mouth moves as if he says something and then Ellie seems to nod. I have no idea if there's an answer to this but i was just wondering if anyone knows what he said. Thanks:)

Nothing is being said, though, music is being played (All Gone it's called) this sound was probably removed because copyright issues.
@HeyBuddiesClips9 жыл бұрын
It's like that on purpose, it's the way the game was made. You aren't supposed to know what he says to her, it's between Joel and Ellie. I think it's very powerful. :)

This is the second time I have watched the cutscenes of the whole game and DLC. I have only watched the game on KZbin once before...last year. What an incredible game. A work of art....a Masterpiece. One of the greatest character and narrative driven video games I have ever seen. I consider The Last of Us one of the best games I have ever seen, and of the Greatest Video games ever made. The best developed female character right next to Lara Croft, and one of the best male characters I have ever seen in a game. Ellie and Joel feel so real that I want to acknowledge them as real people because Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker played them both to perfection. Not sure if its worthy of a sequel, but if there is one it HAS to nail it. I also recently finished up a small add on ending piece of fanfiction to the game, and I really like it. Its simple and it fits perfectly within the actual game. Just over 1400 words long.

Just my opinion but it felt as though you were rushing through a lot of this, didn't really feel much like a movie. It needs to feel cinematic and smooth imo which is why I think recording this for KZbin while doing a live stream may not have been the best idea for this tbh.
@glp8 жыл бұрын
Definitely wasn't the best idea, it was the first and last time we have ever done so. I think the one part that stands out is when Sarah is in the car looking around. Didn't really realize it until after it was uploaded, would have just re-recorded it. But it is what it is, you live and you learn
