Kathleen getting a Clicker to the face was good

Soooo satisfying! I also agree with Kevin, I wish Joel would have taken care of it, but yes, the clicker tearing her apart was a close second....lol

They spent the time to bury them in this world where death is behind every corner, because Henry and Sam had earned their friendship.

In the clocktower, sniper scene in the game, you are facing Pittsburgh's raiders and infected. But the raiders come first, and they crash their car the same way. Kathleen is a mirror to Henry. They both lost their brothers, and it broke both of them. Kathleen became consumed with vengeance for her loss, and that killed her and her community. Henry became consumed with sacrificial love for his brother, and that killed him. Also, the writers like to make people question loyalties. Kathleen is a character who lead a successful rebellion to save thousands of people from rape and torture under a fascist government. Most people would root for that character. Henry is a judas (Kathleen's brother is presented as a Jesus figure). But we root for him. Kathleen is also an important precursor, but I won't say how or why. But in this season or a future season, you will meet similar people.

The point of Kathleen was twofold: 1) we keep hearing fedra is horrible, but here we have a case in which fedra was overthrown, and even the people trying to free Kansas ended up botching everything because of one person's personal vendetta. All of Kansas is doomed because Kathleen couldn't think of the good of others over her desire for revenge. This, without spoilers will be a big theme at some point. 2) I don't know if you already watched the whole season so I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say the idea of the one versus the many is super important. The series works by using each charcer's storyline as a theme. Tess, Bill & Frank, Kathleen, Sam & Henry, they all show a theme of the story. Kind of like a "if you do this for love, this can happen".

Very well put! Viewers of this series are definitely shown the consequences of prioritizing an individual over the group (Kathleen, Henry, ultimately Joel). Conversely, we see how prioritizing the group over the individual is not that great, either (Marlene/Fireflies, FEDRA). Bill and Frank got it right. They prioritized their microcosm without doing harm. They were (even if initially begrudgingly *COUGHbillCOUGH*) helpful to Joel, Jess, and (posthumously) Ellie. I consider this series to be "The Dos and Don'ts of Social Collapse"😆

@Carlos Esteban Rivera Triunfo ...also... I was intrigued when you said "future book," so I checked out your page! Looks like White Harbor is at the top of my "read next" list!! Wow! The way you described the story and your influences, I have no doubt it will be a page turner for me! I'm so glad our paths crossed!

@@maybe_katie5582 Thank you so much. I actually just signed with a publisher a three book deal for the full trilogy, so around August September will be relaunching book 1 of White Harbor, as an extended 2nd edition. I'd recommend waiting for that one, it will be really cool. Thank you so much for checking it out

Well, if you are gonna discuss about the game, make sure whoever plays the game remembers the game story clearly. If not the discussion, hypothesis and conjecture would be very easily biased.

You sometimes do well with these. This episode reaction was just irritating. Talking over all the plot points etc. then asking what happened. Missed the character progression of Joel's to have some discussion about sniper vs hunting rifle? Why? Too many of these to mention. Missed everything up until the last 2 scenes including when Joel invited Henry & Sam to join him.

Sometimes we do well? Gail... we literally just started doing this. So, I will take that as a compliment because we very clearly have no idea what we are doing at all. We are trying to learn, but to be honest, you (and others like you) really suck any enjoyment out of it... for me anyway. You state that we sometimes get it right. Yet, you were only moved to comment to educate us on what a Cairn is and then to tell us we irritate you. I don't know, if I see something I like, I love giving compliments. I was also raised that if I have nothing nice to say, I keep my dumbass mouth shut. I could not stand myself if I got off on hurting people over things that are literally inconsequential. Since embarking on this project, I have done nothing but question why I even agreed to do this. This is unlike anything I have ever tried before, and I know I bring very little to the table. But... when I really think about it... What is sillier? 4 middle-aged nobodies trying to have fun with their gaming community? Or people who are so self-absorbed that they believe their pompously negative opinion of a stupid *KZbin reaction video* should be voiced? I know my answer. Tom, Blue, and Kevin are great people who I truly enjoy spending time with. Additionally, the Garbage Gaming community is a genuinely amazing group of people who inspire us to try to find fun new ways of engaging with them. If other people end up liking us too, that is such a super cool coincidence!! I suppose I just need to find a way to keep the self-importance of strangers in the comments from impeding what my actual goal is. I don't pop off often, Gail, but man, were you the straw that broke this camel's back. I hope the next time you try something new, you are given the same courtesy.

Yes please tell us how the 2 week old channel, which is probably making every mistake in the book, how we're irritating you. How we sometimes do well. I mean, do you really read your comment and think to yourself "There's no way I could have been a little less negative, I really helped their channel!" Is that how your original comment looks to you?
