One things keeps botherting me: Echolocation means that they can see with sound. The sound waves will hit you and come back to the clickers, and they will see you, even when you're totally silent. It's not the same as hearing.

Lord Geezmo Well, that's just not echolocation. Bats use echolocation and can very clearly "see" any insects because their clicks bounce off of the insects. There is no explanation for how it works. But then again, it's just fiction anyway. Damn good fiction too.

They weren't realistic whatsoever in terms of how the cordyceps fungus would look as it begins to sprout from a human body. Those concepts just sort of looked liked these deformed alien like creatures.

is clear and evident that the artificial intelligence and the reactions seen on demo, is not the same with the purchased version. the video is better, the reactions are different, but the game does not see it. in this case we are seeing an "improved" demo to the hype of the game. hopefully watch dogs be different, be more real. But it's still a good game

this game is the only reason i can think of to own a ps3, this game IS NOT flawless though, as much as people make it seem, it has some pretty repetitive combat, some pretty bland level design in areas and a VERY simple "survival" system that isn't that good.. the story however is very very good, its the only game on ps3 that had a compelling story, i think xbox has much better games, gameplay wise, graphics wise and story wise but The Last OF US was a freaking amazing game

I'm neither a ps3 nor xbox fanboy nor do I care about the debate, but when I see bullshit (no offense) I call it. Xbox really does not have that many good games compared to the PS3. I can sit here and name all of them but Google will work wonders for you. Also, if you call TLOU repetitive, you might as well say every shooter ever is. I think the well placed pacing in that game make it feel the complete opposite of repetitive. Also, the level design, are you serious? This game probably has the most attention to detail in literally every aspect, especially areas you walk through whilst playing it. I do agree that the stealth system is simple however mind you that this game isn't like MGS which focuses mainly on stealth so you shouldn't be expecting those types of mechanics. I personally find the stealth mechanics extremely satisfying even though they are simple. All the weapons and items you find in each play-through and the multiple ways of beating the game each time, plus OF COURSE the incredible story are what make the game a 10/10, and that's why you see that score pretty much on every review ever made for this game. But hey man this is my opinion and you are definitely entitled to you own.

It's 20 years into the apocalypse. Large stashes of guns would be long gone, and you'd have to build up a stash slowly over time, one rare gun at a time. Plus, guns are like, really freaking important, especially for what Tess and Joel do. They're not really searching for weapons either, they're trying to get their stash back from The Fireflies by smuggling Ellie. Have you played the game? It's emotionally compelling, tells a great, story, is rather long, and has excellent gameplay and graphics.

Something like that, yeah. Basically, third party developers prefer working on the PC and Xbox 360 version because they use the same architecture. Only afterwards do they port it to the PS3 which often leads to slightly lower graphics.

If the developers are going to spend so much effort in creating a realistic environment then they can handle some criticism as well. The fungus that attacks spiders and ants do not make them into athletes but slows them down until they start sprouting the fungus and planting them into the ground.

This isn't an argument against you, I'm building on your comment Carver. The idea that the fungus mutated quickly from being able to only affect bugs, to affecting humans. Why couldn't it mutate itself to help the host better? After that many years, a fungus(which are known to mutate and evolve rapidly) a fungus could evolved itself into so much more than what it is now.

Except this is with a human being. You can kill an ant or a spider a lot easier than you can a human. You can't just step on a human and kill them. What I'm getting at is that the fungus takes longer to slow us down. When you play the game, you find out that Runners, fresh infected are only fast because they haven't been infected as long. Clickers have been infected longer and can't run. Then , the freakin' bloaters.. They're quite slow and it makes sense as they have literal fungal armor.

I really like some of the songs they play in this video. Must be part of the soundtrack I hope. Sounds wonderful, the first one sounds like the infected with all these strange and broken violin strings straining and kind of wheezing as if it is the sound of a survivor wheezing from running away from the infected.

The PS3 is harder to code for due to its hardware architecture. Essentially, the PS3 has a processor that is made up of 8 "mini" processors, and each one is relegated to different tasks when running a game. This means that developers must account for the fact that the different processors might not always handle their tasks in sync or at the same quality. Sony has scrapped this architecture for the PS4, which is why Ps3 Discs will not be compatible. There's still hope for digital though.

Survivor mode was so great. Taking down bloaters without a flamethrower is near impossible for me, especially in the Salt Lake tunnels where there are other infected. Finally beat the game on Survivor plus earlier. Though as hard as survivor could be, I think it should have been harder. I wanted it to instead of being a very hard mode, be a realistic mode. You die in a few shots, but you do more damage with stuff, and make bullets more rare, would have been so much better than it already was.
