Very good video, our group really enjoyed participating every year as well. About 5 years ago we met a guy from Wisconsin there and now we are life long friends that make multiple trips a year shed hunting. Really sucks non residents can no longer participate.

Huge bummer!! It’s cool the state looks out for their residents. But share the wealth! Hope they reverse it.. A drawing for a few spots would be cool?! I’ve been lobbying hard for it.

I was there last year as well. I had spot 19. I had no idea how messed up the line situation was. That was pretty rough. Also totally agree with your sentiment and take on Wyoming’s new shed hunting laws. Great video!

19, that would have been awesome!! I only got a fraction of the guys in the video that cheated into the line. We actually stood in the road blocking a bunch.. It was chaos! Only 95 cars in the motorcade this year. I think they could easily put out a drawing for 50 more non-res spots and it wouldn’t be bad at all. Just one line through town so that doesn’t happen. Did ya’ll kill it at 19 last year?

I feel for you man! I look forward to the Jackson shed hunt every year! I am a Wyoming resident and I still feel there needs to be something in place to allow nonresidents somehow. My honest opinion is it needs to go back to the midnight opener. Then we don’t have to worry about spots in line. You could the 300th car and still pick up several sheds. She’d hunt all night in the dark and the sun comes up and it’s a whole new shed hunt. Those were the days. Great video! Captured some of the chaos! 🤘🏻

It’s like no shed hunt on the planet! I use to train for two months preparing for this! I really feel like they could have a drawing for say a 100 cars with a cap on how many guys per car and even if I only got to go a couple more times ever, that would be awesome! This is such a cool event and I for sure don’t do it to make money off the sheds, I want them for the keeper pile. I wish my state would look out for the residents like Wyoming does.. Good luck in a couple weeks, I’m sure you’ll kill it!

@@SilhouetteOutdoors Yeah no doubt! Seems to change every year so I imagine nonresidents will be allowed back at some point. Could be wrong but I hope you guys can come back. A lot of friends out of state and this is when I get to see them. I’ll have a video posted!

@@fishhuntwyo I’ll be real curious to what it looks like this year! I’ll keep an eye out for your video. Did they do a drawing for spots in line again? I did notice there’s a lot of vacancy at the hotels in town for May 1st..

@@SilhouetteOutdoors Yes they did the draw process. I’ve talked to about 50 people as well. So far I think we have one of the fastest times but we should be finding out real soon what our time is!

There’s no way that kid in the beginning found that many and had them strapped on that pretty without cheating, I’ve packed out lots of sheds and it takes a lot of time to make your pack look that good 😂 ruins it for the rest

@@bradytoothaker4184 they bust guys sneaking in there stashing sheds every year. It’s very possible. And I’m with, it’s not easy to stack many regardless..

One of the feeding stations in my area is like that. The one I was at had about 75 to 100 ppl. Gate opend at 6am and by 10 there was only 8 rigs left in the parking lot... I just let everyone run by and a half hour later I'm ahead of them all cuz they were gassed lol. U learn ur body when u get older lol

You would be really wrong.. We have signed sheds from each season we go to commemorate, and for a couple guys that got skunked, shared what we found, which wasn’t much. I personally have never sold a big shed I’ve picked after a quarter century of shed hunting.. Seriously wish they were worth nothing.

@SilhouetteOutdoors8 ай бұрын
@@Danielnobody-i3d Exactly how does our shed hunting disturb that? You can go find deer, moose and elk sheds to carve on, the same as anyone else? The land doesn’t really belong to you or anyone. It will be there long after we are all gone. Why not share it and enjoy it in our own ways? What you seem to elude to is more greedy people hoarding it and its resources for themselves. What I request is to share the land and some renewable resources it offers with anyone who would like to experience it.
