🤔..I guess but think of it like this, Clark and Bruce are two different people. Simple right? If Bruce wants to hang on to a strong sense of justice, since thats what he believes and how HE handles things, good for him but don't compare that to Clark and think he should act or believe the exact same way as Bruce. Clark made over a few good points. Which yes, I am on Clarks side with this. Every time the Joker get loose, Bruce and Joker go thru some bullshit while people are getting killed in the process??? And especially around 3:16-3:58, that was just icing on the cake. Not trying to start an argument, look at this as a open dialog. I just simply have a different perspective and like I said before, Clark made some really good points.

Y'know Bruce with all his money could've imprisoned the joker on the moon right?, I mean hell there's even the bat cave that has a very very secure prison or better yet, Ask Clark to send him to the Phantom Zone but nope he'll always take him to Arkham where he'll always escape and kill double the people he killed the last time. Bruce is insane, IDK how be even convinces himself he's doing the right thing lol, he's the biggest villain Gotham has. Hell Joker and Batman were once poisoned and the antidote was just one pill that had to be taken fully to heal (that's what the description said). which meant only one of them could survive, Batman without knowing this still split it in half, forcing one down Joker's throat and swallowing the other half and then they both waited to either die or live... luckily they lived. The fact that this man is willing put more on the line for the Joker than for the people of Gotham is mind boggling.

Yes Batman has gone out of his way to save the joker a number of times, but he’s also done so with his other villains. He has a pathological need to save everyone he can. Look at the end of Hush and how destroyed he is that he couldn’t save the Riddler from falling. Pretty much takes Cateoman putting her boot up his ass to get him moving. It wasn't Joker's act of nuking Metropolis and making Superman kill Lois and their unborn child that broke Superman -- there was no way for anyone to walk away from such a tragedy with their sanity intact. Joker didn't break Superman; it was Batman and the rest of the League egging on Superman's breakdown by not being there for him when he needed someone -- anyone -- to unearth the good in him, buried beneath layers of grief and regret. When Superman was at his lowest point, did any of his friends drop by to comfort him? Did any of them try to appeal to his humanity and sense of justice? No, they didn't. The only one that ever came by was Superboy who had the audacity to give Superman shit for killing Joker, acting as if Superman overreacted -- like he killed Joker for taking a shit in his cornflakes or something -- and later tried to banish Superman to the Phantom Zone. And then, when the government decided to kidnap Superman's parents, his supposed best friend chose his own ideals above their friendship and even decided to oppose him, which drove him even further into more extreme measures. And this went on for 5 years straight. Superman didn't have "one bad day" as Joker would say it; Superman had several years' worth of bad days, brought about by a series of contrived events that only helped him sink even further into villainy and the fact none of his "friends" ever tried to talk it out with him and give him the help he needed. The only thing that's surprising is that Superman didn't snap any sooner under such circumstances.

Not to justify Superman’s later actions but everything he said here was FACTS, a lot of Batman fanboys won’t admit it but Batman had an unhealthy relationship with the joker. We’ve seen Batman risk limbs and his life to save the joker but was willing to let Jason die in an explosion to save the joker. The joker should have been killed one way or the other by now but Batman kept protecting him. Batman is as responsible for Joker’s sins as Joker himself. Edit: I’m just going to say “killing someone” and “not protecting them” are two different things. My problem is not that Batman decided to not kill the Joker, my problem is Batman’s protecting the Joker.
@amuroray91153 жыл бұрын
I’ve always said Batman is a dumbass for not killing the Joker. His logic that “I won’t be able to stop” is honestly piss poor. A man with so much willpower and He doesn’t have the self-discipline to be able to discern killing mass murderers like Joker and a common purse snatcher?
@dmarcobing49383 жыл бұрын
@@amuroray9115 the whole problem with that sentiment is that we have seen every time a hero kills they stray down and becomes even worse than those they killed. The Batman who laughs is a prime example and so is injustice Superman From a psychological and social standpoint Batman actually makes very good points. The first act is always the justification, killing the jokers despite what he has done would only cause Batman to kill every villain he has encountered. This is not limited to petty street thugs which would cause him to be the villain. Additionally Batman and Superman are working outside the law. They are in essence criminals themselves the option to kill should never be in their hands in the first place. They are self proclaimed heroes and the only claim they have is that they stop the bad guys not become them. Here is what I don’t agree with though, Batman has a history of “saving the joker”. There’s no doubt that jokers deserves death and has been perused by multiple people close to the bat himself, but he always stops them. He should of just let them kill the joker but he would have to capture them later. Which is probably why he didn’t let Todd do it since he didn’t want to be the one that put his son behind bars
@D_346183 жыл бұрын
As a Batman fanboy you’re 100% correct
@VashRampage3 жыл бұрын
It is true. But the reason why Bruce never killed the Joker is because he felt responsible for him in the first place. He created the Joker and that fault fell on him. Having a constant reminder that he fucked up, helped him in his own physiological way. Same reason he never put Jason Todd down once he started killing people, another creation of his that kills; only difference, a son and killer of bad guys instead of a total lunatic that had a bad day thanks to an accident Batman caused. If he were smart, killing off the Batman, kill joker and put up the cape. But then he’d worry scarecrow, riddler, two face or penguin would replace the clown prince. So he’d need to Dawn the suit again to put another down. There would never be a retired Batman, for criminals and killers would always exist and even putting down a few would never stop the ones to come. Laws are there for those that obey, not for those that break them.

It is because of that night in the alley that Batman can never use a gun, never kill. It's his life's mission to end that. He is already a criminal as a vigilante, yet he chooses to save every single life he can, and spends his life doing Gotham PD's job. He brings the criminals to justice. Justice lets them get away. Batman genuinely believes that he is in no place to make the decision to take someone's life. That he can never be judge, jury and executioner. He can never take even a single step towards what that man in the alley was. Saying Clark is right when he says that Bruce mourns for the Joker shows how little Batman people actually read. He doesn't mourn for the Joker or Metropolis. He's mourns Superman and the ideal he set for the rest of the world, to be better than the scum of Gotham, and to be better, safer and happier than himself. He mourns his friend, Clark, who he sees going down the path of darkness, a path darker than the one he himself walks.

Batman is dissapointed because the man that showed him Justice doesnt always have to come from the shadows could be capable of murdering people in cold blood (even the likes of Joker) so he desperatedly tries to appeal to "The Superman" completly ignoring the fact that Clark needed a friend to help him. And Superman keep´s trying to appeal to Bruce Wayne, when we all know that Bruce is just a mask for the real person "The Batman" and as such Clark cant comprehend why bruce is against him, even when he admits that the death of the joker was beneficial for mankind and that he would also impose global peace trought force if he had clark´s powers. It's also (probably unintentionally on the part of the writers) calling Clark a child. Recently read that a traditional butler would be addressing not the adults he worked for, but the _children_ of the family as "Master." Like, it makes a weird sense for him to call Bruce "Master," in that regard: Bruce is basically his son, and he understands that under the Batman is a damaged child who never really got the chance to be. But calling Clark that, in that precise moment, coupled with his "Let's remember that," is practically telling him "You're acting out like a spoiled infant tossing his rattle out of the pram, understand that there are ways to deal with spoiled infants who get too big for their britches." After all, Batman keeps kryptonite on-hand, and Alfred _has_ on at least one occasion pointed out that while _Bruce_ has a rule against killing, _he_ has no such qualms.

It’s too bad Batman betrayed his friend and the Justice League. And in Injustice 2, Supergirl betrayed her own cousin for killing people. And she still clings on to the House of El’s meaning which is flawed and worthless, if Jor-El had joined Zod, he might have saved Krypton. Superman will save the Earth and re-educate the human population, teach them a more ordered means of governance, and make them see the error of their ways.

@@Scorchwad His plan for Berry is a "Vibra-bullet" that induces epileptic seizures. @animeman82033 жыл бұрын
@@Nightmare-wo2gd He didn't destroy OA he destroyed Ganthet and Mogo when the GL Corp came to illegally arrest Superman. Parademons are mindless monsters that have been twisted so killing them is giving the poor souls that inhabited those bodies rest. He used that ring to resist being kidnapped and forced through a kangaroo court. He only killed Billy after he had been fully corrupted and Billy wasn't a child anymore, he was a young adult. Honestly I can defend most things he did up to Year 4 easily. It's only Year 5 where he becomes evil and he only became evil because Batman kept tormenting him. Remember when Batman infected him with that dust that put him in a sleep where he lived the life he could have had for decades only to see it ripped from him like that. @@animeman8203 no no, I did get things incorrect, and i do apologize for that, but Superman wasnt just corrupted by Batman, Wonder Woman I would argue played a heavier hand in it, Batman couldve done so much differently, but ultimately its the Regimes fault, they didnt exactly comfort Superman either, they helped him conquer the planet and kill a lot of people, Batman wanted to stop the killing, neither Batman nor Superman are hero's in this story, thats the pain of it, the regime allowed Superman to enforce his reign across an entire planet, and Batman used the insurgency to start a decade long war, killing friends, partners, and civilians alike..neither are hero's here, and neither of their actions can be justified

Batman going wouldn't have mattered though.
