Amazing how much that Sequoia is like my 2007 Tundra SR5 with the TRD package. Same 5.7L V8 with the same plastic cover on top. Same little compartments in the door arm rests, same shape and location of the A/C controls and shifter and 4WD switch (although with different textures and finishes) same "secret compartment" between the shift lever and cup holders (lift up the cover from the latch toward the front), same double glove compartment, same center console. That was the first year of the newly redesigned Tundra and I bought it new for $29,250. 18 years and 257,000 miles later, still running strong.

Thursday: I'm selling my Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro
@rjhein14 күн бұрын
Hey just a quick note - there is a button on the outside of the rear hatch that you can open the rear hatch, it's just that the power hatch doesn't engage if you do it that way, but you can certainly open it that way. Just thought I'd mention that because your vid seemed to suggest you can't open it from the outside without either the keyfob or interior button (which isn't the case). We owned a sequoia (in this gen) for 5 years and absolutely loved it - so much room inside, leg room was amazing. Ours wasn't the TRD Pro, it had standard suspension, however we upgraded to Bilstein 5100 shocks, which was a HUGE upgrade in handling etc. Far better, crisper handling and made towing way more stable. Ours had rear airbags as well (Factory) but not the adjustable shocks. I found the engine note (5.7L) very noisy compared to our 200 series (as you also mentioned) - way less sound deadening etc.

This thing is a beast. Performance capabilities may not be the best on paper but the durability and reliability combined with the ease of repair make it a road-going tank that can survive 3rd world country conditions. They just go and go, and 'drive like new' more than any other brand. Go drive one with tape over the odometer and see if you can guess the mileage.

@GoingFar7714 күн бұрын
You have to own one to understand. It isn’t winning any beauty contests, but it will last forever, it’s very capable on and off road, and it has a great third row that is usable by actual adults. I disagree with Ben on one thing- the Platinum with the air suspension is definitely as smooth as the TRD Pro with the Fox. It’s the smoothest riding BOF I’ve ever been in.

@AlexAlex-gs1xh13 күн бұрын
@jeffp5418 I don't trust those and why should I spend more money to put those when I can get it already in some models I would rather buy a new car that is cheaper than an overpriced toyota with more features.
@jeffp541812 күн бұрын
@ Ok, lets see how that "cheaper" car is on resale compared to something like this Sequoia, also down the road maintenance costs. I'm not a fan of a laptop in my vehicles, we get too much screen time as it is, just something that plays music.
