the whole speech is amazing, how it starts so well and you can see the decline. my favourite part, when Jeff says 'the teacher said what a great drawing you did, such detail! never mind the fact it was my pencil you drew it with!' that brought me right back to school!

Agree with madcap Dan. Its one of those scenes that needs a little bit of the build up for context, so the audience can realise the dynamics between the two characters. It is though just brilliant. Dark Dark Dark !

I agree too, bunch of tossers at the BBC censoring everything that gets onto KZbin! And then blocking League of gentlemen from their own streaming service so we can't even watch it there, because apparently that will solve all racism in the world...

Meanwhile Netflix is still promoting White Chicks, and Black Is King is still available to watch.

The actor playing Geoff was brilliant with some of his characters. The series 3 episode centred around Geoff was brilliant, “your mum died and mine didn’t” 😂. Something tells me his character actually would have preferred it the other way roundn though,, you can hear the resentment in his voice when he says “thank god mine got better”.

I hated this in the 90s/early 2000s. Must have had my head squarely up my arse in those days, this has become my favourite show. The intensity, the writing, the acting. The way we laugh even though we're scared.

Ahead of it’s time, whilst people were obsessed with films like Armageddon etc this was on in the cemetery hours,, this is pure comedy at its finest that wasn’t appreciated at the time. We all know a Geoff, we all know a Brian etc. The Levinson skit reminds of many women around my way, their little snide comments to try and wind up their so called friends. It’s brilliant I observation, writing and acting. Beats the over the top stupidity of Armageddon anyday.

A little more life experience also helps to appreciate the show more. The longer we live the more of these kind of characters cross our path, and we also recognise what made them this way.

Sed to have this series on cassette and play in the car. I used to be unable to drive through laughing at this speech. I think at the end he says sternly "are you happy" 😂😂😂

I would love it if they re released League of gentlemen series 1 without a laughter track - it would be such a huge improvement on the awkward 'don't really get it but they are paying me to laugh so I better' type reaction the audience gave to most of the jokes.

Horrible, sad, angry ittle character. So well observed, written and acted. I am sure we have all met a few Geoffs over the years.

I and many people have BEEN one to an extent. He sums up everyone who has been frustrated and unhappy about something, but blames the world for it rather than getting their finger out and making things better.

This was so much better than little Britain, there was a continuous storyline and the characters were connected, little Britain was just a series of "shock" gags
