RIP Voices with Vervaeke. Its been great.I learned so much from your dialogical ways and really felt the force-less force of the better argument, the dialogos, lighting up my mind. You will be missed.

I apologize for my message yesterday. I was focused on my own biases, viewpoint & ego Wish I could afford this class. It's beautiful to see so many people refocusing on spiritual aspects. I apparently need to do the same.

Even though I wrote a thesis and a dissertation about Spinoza (thesis on a comparison between Spinoza and Laozi and then did my PhD on Spinoza and his influence and affinity to Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy), I find myself curious about your course and I'm sure I'll discover something new! Very interesting and I really love all your work!

For a few years I was working on personal growth via plant medicines, the 2 big ones from Peru, and they were quite effective, when combined with real personal commitment. They also open a path to the sacred that I had t expected. Grandmother Aya is a potent opening of the deepest parts of human psyche. Grandfather cactus is a quiet and deep journey to peace. Recommended, with respect

There is famous book on Einstein and van Gogh's moon, the same object but different expressive style. The detail's difference is very often just difference of interpretation or categories of jobs which are not different actually, even science and arts can be converged many cases. I am not sure God's case to Einstein and Spinoza, but the difference is for concerning similarity in ourselves and them, I think science and religion are converged by many cases. The sacred is good term in common sense. It is varied by some implementation, not substantial, it is severe because of usage.

Do you feel or think there is a risk of over romanticizing a past event, without understanding the heart ache, theft, misappropriation and blame, waste or even the complaints of an education built of corporate factory and its efficiency? Perhaps Einstein’s most often repeated claim was that he had not the answers, but the questions and not to use his findings as a quick solution. Education has all the answers, without any questions, there is no time for questions in a corporate forced education in confusion, a bipolarity is useful, but not a truth, the heart takes no sides when the mind is ‘made up’.

Because freedom of speak needs to be really slow and a professor often will say ‘read my book’ rather than grow up and realize every interpretation is filtered, every mind reads differently and every question is forgotten and even the author may or may not remember their own train of thought. Experience is shocking when every reference of habit, is a library of no self *respect, but the journey of others to catch up to. While we are all trying to catch up, the world is failing us of its capability to communicate, but truncate as slow silo’s of products and filtered privilege. It’s a paradigm to have free education again, only for Elon Musk to play devils advocate in the classroom, if it’s good, we can pay while the rest of the world is in silence and confusion as to what are we paying for, to talk to each other? Lend me your ears, oh I get it, it’s a temporary loan, oh wait, who is paying who, do we all pay each other, that’s a lot of exchanging? I can’t talk, I need to get paid, I can’t play, or there is no event, I can’t speak until I get on the soap box. All the world is not a stage, that was Shakespeare’s sense of humour in the out of body experience, mind over matter where the mind has lost its senses. Where is my script, while the world burns. You see, we are all waiting for the spell to take us out of domesticide. Going off script is where things become interesting. John is a radical relief to the usual script.

I step back a bit from "sacred," it's pretty nebulous like it's subjects. science tells us people want rituals regardless of the supernatural suspicions we project on them

Would you see yourself in accordance with the way Dr Iain McGilchrist sees God/The Sacred? Iain does define himself as a panentheist though so maybe not, seeing as Spinoza is seen as a pantheist.

It seems to me that all the difference between atheism and non-theism is that atheism don't try to be religion and non-theism is like religion without the god. All non-theists are atheists but not all atheists are non-theists.

I can't help but think that non-theism/trans-theism is just an attempt to move the goal post so that humans can cling to religion.
@christopherhamilton36213 ай бұрын
I think the project is more about redefining the notion of religion to community & shared purpose without the baggage of dogmatic belief’s, inchoate & idolatrous & non-thinking regimens. The ‘clinging’ is part of the problem.
