Honestly didn't expect Belzac to be the most rage inducing opponent for you, that was amusing.

Why not? It's rage inducing for everyone. Does as much damage as Faust and has 69 bandit rings equipped at once, somehow. Such a bs fight.

I don't know. I thought most people would just use their weaknesses against them. I always thought Kanzas was the toughest of the four old dragoons. Damia's weak to melee, Belzac and Syuveil are incredibly weak to magic, and Kanzas just has no opposing element to exploit.

heads up if you plan to battle Faust. You HAVE TO GRIND FOR THE ULTIMATE ARMOR in Lohan if you want to stand a chance at fighting him. he is IMPOSSIBLE to fight without Armor of Legend and Legend casque.

Not impossible at all. I remember playing this as a kid and never could afford those armors from Lohan and I ended up beating Faust with Dart Kongol and Albert. Took a few tries but I got it.

@@MrMilesTV I don't know if I'd say it was impossible, but it certainly would be a rather un-fun level of difficulty for most people, myself included. Also, you don't need Armor of Legend, the grind for all of that would probably be awful.

Going into Belzac unhealed, without any magic attacks, low SP, additions that can't earn much SP, and Albert who has the magic defense of wet tissues against the earth dragoon that he's weak to and can't deal damage to because he's a physical attacker into high physical defense and top 5 boss up in the entire game. I'm honestly surprised you didn't get a game over 😅

Speed down does work on bosses. So does power down. They don't count as abnormal statuses.

The reason Belzac is faster than Kongol is that; 1. Belzac has had more time training to be a Dragoon 2. Being in Dragoon Form speeds your character up, yes, even Kongol in Dragoon form is decently fast

If you ever wonder how much being in Dragoon form does for your stats, the Stats screen has a number under Dragoon where it shows what the stat is when Dragooned

Dragoon form does not speed up your character.

Yeah I thought dragoon only increased power in the element you’re a dragoon in and your resistance to effects and damage?

@@MrMilesTV Being in Dragoon form specifically increases your physical and magic offense/defense. If you go to the Status screen, you'll be able to see to the right which of a character's stats get multiplied by being in Dragoon form (usually it's around 100 - 300 %). Dart for instance gets around a 160% bonus to his physical and magic attack, and a 220% bonus to his physical and magic defense in Dragoon form. Dragoon form also makes a person immune to most status effects (except for some of the more instant-death ones).

What upsets me about fighting Damia is the confirmation that merpeople exist in Endiness, but just not to the point where the story cares enough to talk about them. I suppose they were a species the Winglies dared not oppress because Rose hinted that even when Damia was so young she became the water Dragoon. By strength of character not likey because she was so timiid. So that leaves only her latent power. A prime merperson would be OP I guess. But Damia was one of the only rare ones out in the open at the time. And she was only a half breed. The only other mention of a mermaid was when Albert was talking some romance stuff with Emille.

@@jmoon6909 I did. I knew about the part of no return but I thought it applied to being able to do anything pre end game. Lots of games once finished bring you back to before the point of no return and I was informed that’s not the case here. So I’ll have to use my 2nd save.

30:48 Omg he's learning!! :D We are all so proud. And still making things hard by not using power down, or having full SP before going into a boss fight. 🤣Ahh well, baby steps I guess. Good thing there's an entire half a disc of game still to go! 🤪 ....But yes, the testicle dragoon is a famously bullshit fight. Everyone hates it. It's too unbalanced. Does too much damage and has too much speed for no reason. Grade-A developer trolling right there. That guy could probably solo Faust himself. 🤣
