It's also important to know that if you didn't get Kongol's Dragoon spirit in Lohan, he gets it from his brother in this scene instead. It's believed in the LoD lore community that when Kongol said "human steal Giganto treasure" he was referring to the Golden Dragoon spirit held by his brother, and in this video he said "I will get strongest power", implying that he knew about it.

My headcanon is that the Golden Dragoon Spirit was recovered by Gigantos and passed down from chieftain to chieftain as a status symbol, but despite its power it didn't actually select a worthy Dragoon for many generations until Kongol.

If you go to the central square area in the bale section of the moon and talk to that kid(I think you did actually) you can kind of get the sense that he's actually the child version of lavitz and he's admiring his father servi like we know lavitz did. If bale takes place 20 years from the present day

38:35 yea it would seem they wanted to add a mini boss or items there but just forgot. The kid you spoke too was Lavitz as a kid. Also, you should just guard with Dart in random encounters since you maxed him out already, let the others gain addition and sp, you grind less.Also you get Kongol dragoon spirit after the fight(which is the power he speaks of. Also his brother Axe is a bonus)

So yeah, even tho Haschel never really explains it to Dart, Dart seems to know to some degree, Claire is both Dart's Mother and Hachels Daughter. If you remember, when Both Dart's Mother and Father left him to fight in Neet, You asked the very obvious question of... "Why? Why did BOTH of them leave?" well, because they both were confident that they would be of some use. Zieg had his Dragoon Spirit, so he was confident he would be fine, and Claire has major Martial Art skills, so she was sure she would be able to help. But what they weren't expecting to see, and face, was Rose. Something happened that Night, and it came out with Rose not realizing Zieg was there, Zieg going nuts, and Claire dead. What that was that happened, that's still up to you to figure out.

The tunnel parts of the moon that are different from the locations of the world, I always got the sense that they were the scenes of the future rose described. The world scenes are the past and those tunnels display the future of the world if the virage embryo destroys it. Hence the virage theme song plays in those areas

I like this thought, I had always assumed the tunnels were in-between the illusions it was able to create for us, like we were seeing the inside of the gods body, veins and stuff. Virage theme made sense to me for this reason too, cause you only hear that in those areas true, but even in the 'illusions' you hear it's heartbeat

Super late comment, Miles! I wanted to binge the entire moon chapter in one sitting haha. Looking at all the comments about Lavitz and Kongol, I'd like to share my lore speculation with regards to Claire. She is such a major story anchor for Hascel and Dart, Zieg, Rose, and(since you've uploaded the finale now) Melbu Frahma. And she's mostly left in the dark unless you're a very observant player. I think they could've done more with her story if they wanted to. Because some details in her boss dialogue is so obscure and tacked on that I only have more questions after finishing it. Like the possibility that Haschel knew the founder of Rouge(could be his master or father, we don't know) and that he, Haschel, and Claire all have experienced "Shura" or bloodlust in battle, seeing as how Hashel recognized immediately when Claire used Four Gods Destruction. Except only the founder attained the full bloodlusted state. Being able to counter Four Gods Destruction also implies Haschel knows how to use it to its full extent, but he just refuses to. We might have seen something to its' level when he broke the stone wall in Home of Gigantos. I firmly believe he could wipe the floor with a prime wingly like Melbu Frahma or Faust if he's both in the shura and dragoon state at the same time.

100% agree about the Indora/Kongol dialect issue. Personally, I find the Kongol pidgin speak to be pretty insulting, as it just continues to emphasize the "noble savage" stereotype, and if they ever do a remake I would hope that they would change that (fan patches of the game have fixed this issue and made Kongol more articulate). That said, I do like the idea that Indora is speaking in the Gigantos' native tongue and Kongol might have forgotten it, so he's speaking what he remembers to Indora and it comes off in fragments.

Kongol was a child when all his elders were murdered. I figured that's why his speech was broken. He never had the opportunity to learn the human tongue properly, which was probably a second language to him. Indora on the other hand was the pride of the gigantos, so I'm sure he received the best lessons available. That's my thought process anyway. Also you should optimize your combat a bit for working on additions. First of all counter attacks never happen on the first or last hit of a combo so you only need to anticipate a counter on those hits. Take summon 4 gods as an example. It's only 3 button presses, right? So the counter will only ever be on the second one. You should also have characters that aren't really working on their additions, like dart, use more repeat items. The magic sig stone to stop enemies or the speed up to hasten the characters that need the most work. These are the things that will help level additions faster, especially because dart isn't destroying everything before the others can stack up a lot of hits. I'm surprised you're going for everyones final additions as that's a lot of grinding but I respect it. GL 👍

Right but he still would have been in the care of Dole who was an educated man, with access to everything and Kongol would have had this access as a child, unless Dole kept him away from a good education

@@MrMilesTV would Doel have been able to educate a child that basically only speaks a dead language? Also was kongol interested in learning the subtleties of language when he had a warrior culture driving him to seek physical prowess over that type of learning? That's just what I think though 🤔

@@MrMilesTV Yes but even with Poison it'll take 50 attempts to kill it, because it runs away most of the time, and if you're lucky enough to kill it, all you get is a Moon Serenade. Should be called the unlucky jar.

Oh I never considered this! What a great idea, the moon should only be manifesting truths for them to come to terms with and Haschel clearly had no idea she could do that. Her fate is really in question now to me, did Rose kill her, did 'Zieg' after using the stone, or did the war god make an escape...

@@ryangurr7926 I think we know Claire died because dart meets her soul in mayfil. She heals him and sends him on his way. But yes that whole battle between black monster rose and war god Claire was always my head canon. It would make so much sense that they had an epic battle in the ruins of the destroyed neet but rose ended up the victor. Just another reason why I think this game deserves a remake or an anime. Something to expand on these great concepts and ideas. The game is perfect for it

@@MrInuhanyou123 Ah yes you are correct Mayfil slipped my mind. It definitely needs the remake treatment, also really want to see a prequel during the dragon campaign. A thought I've now had though, what if Claire's soul was overtaken by the war god, like she passed on to Mayfil but the war god made an escape into our world through her and is still out there, could've had secret boss potential, though if they'd done something like that it would be cooler imo to have her soul released from her body after the battle, then you and haschel are both there and saved her from torment and we could get actual dialogue from her to each of them to hit us in the feels haha

So in my opinion Kongol didn't really like humans, he liked Doel and believed in his dream. So being taken in by Doel he may have ignored other humans altogether and thrown himself into training in order to be useful, so his vocabulary never evolved beyond what he was taught by his own people, vs Indora who was an adult when Kongol was still a child. Also Kongol didn't drop the armour Indoras wearing, Rose smashed it
