@controlman74903 жыл бұрын
Even though he's a murderer and I personally think that's an irredeemable crime, I totally understand his viewpoint. Someone like the Earth queen was actively oppressing innocent people, which doesn't make her any less of a better person. Zaheer just wanted individuals to be loyal to themselves and not be pressured or forced to swear allegiance to an authority figure, which depending on your ideologies is a good or bad thing. I would say that it's up to any individual human to decide whether they're loyal to a nation or not, but where Zaheer went wrong was trying to implement this mentality by force.

This episode reminded me of something I worked on for a client in the past. There is actually a therapeutic method called Somatic Experiencing (SE) - it's a bit on the edge of pseudo-science, but there have been successes with it nonetheless - it's dealing with panic attacks etc. getting triggered after an traumatic event (accidents and the like) and the concept behind it is that the body hasn't fully processed the event to the point where it ends and you go back to your normal functioning. So a part of you is stuck in the natural reaction to this event (fear, flight such automatic impulses) that activates when you encounter a trigger in post-trauma life and get a panic attack. In SE the goal is to create a safe environment to intentionally trigger the reaction and let it play out, to slowly teach the body that this event has passed/ is finished/ completed - you name it. So that it stops the automatic trigger response and goes back to a fully normal reaction cycle for your future encounters.

The way Korra and Zaheer face each other's spirits is similar to how Korra accessed her own Avatar memories in "Beginnings, Part 1". During the episode recap, the scene where Korra and Asami hug has slightly altered animation from the same scene in "Reunion". The tourist voiced by John Michael Higgins was revealed in the Blu-ray commentary to be named "Steve". Despite having a notable role in the episode, Bumi has no speaking lines. The children of all four benders of ATLA!Team Avatar right there. The weight of their parents' legacy must be unbearable, especially since all three of them have one living parent from the original cast.

I think it's fair that the Fire Lord Izumi didn't want to throw the Fire Nation into another full scale war. Someone pointed out that it's like real life occupiers during World War 2. When the allies "won" they limited the Axis powers military strength. I believe they said that Aang lived for another 60 or so years after the events of book 3 in ATLA so there are still some people and families who were impacted by the Fire Nation's occupation so I can understand why Izumi was not trying to rehash that. It's also a bit of sensitive situation since no one knows what will happen once Kuvira is knocked out and the previous Earth Queen did not have a good reputation among her non-brainwashed or royalist citizens.

Don't need to upload it, but you guys really should watch episode 8 at some point. Lot of development and humor. Disagree heavily with the choice to just skip it completely.

Honestly whoever told you to skip the recap episode did you and the reaction audience dirty. It was an actual episode that Korra haters wash over and its sad to see that perpetuate here

Goofs When Korra is talking to Zaheer on how he used to speak about chaos and freedom, her sleeves turn a brighter shade of blue when she turns away from him, but when she turns back, her sleeves revert to their normal color. When Zaheer turns away from Korra, the chains on his waist are not twisted as they should have been, considering the bond around his waist is formfitting.

It's like people who get angry about Firelord Izumi not just throwing the Fire Nation into another war. We know the character's intentions but realistically they don't.

You have to understand Fire lady Izumi’s position in all of this. Fire lord Zuko spent the rest of his life healing the world and fixing the sins of the fire nation and likely seen as a wonderful nation only recently. I am sure victims of the 100 year war are still alive. Izumi has been forced to feel the need to take up a pacifist approach to her relegation with other counties. What she wants to avoid most is likely the look of an aggressive militaristic nation made new.
