Loved the reaction Joe, you've got such a vast amount of passion in your reactions that makes watching along feel just as if I was watching with friends. ... That, and I reeeeeally wanted to see the expression on your face when Grog gets body slammed onto a sharpened tree. 😂

Thank you so much! And yeah, abject horror is how I would describe it!

@@watchwithjoe this is by far the most hype moment in the second season, i love how they related the campaign to the show, so frikkin good

I loved seeing Grog at his absolute lowest. We got such a good misdirect. I thought too that we'd get the regrowth with the Knuckles, but it really was the spark from finding his strength. The locket play was really the hail Mary because Grog was down to 1 HP, the party wasn't having success, and we just saw the waves of the Herd going after townsfolk. Then Laura just comes up with that part on the fly. 4 or so opportunity attacks to get to Grog, then Travis rolls a natural 20. Even the behind the scenes people were cheering. Even cutting Kevdak down the middle is exactly like Matt described. That may take the cake for the most hype battle I've seen in ages.

Can’t wait to watch it in campaign!

Great video! This is probably my favorite episode so far. They did an amazing job of condensing everything down to the key aspects of Grog’s battle for redemption. And I found it much more enjoyable than the campaign, mostly because I didn’t have to watch hours of VM planning!

Thanks! I think watching planning is some of the most frustrating parts of watching TTRPG because you just end up screaming “WHY ARE YOU OVER COMPLICATING THIS?!”

Love your reactions 😁 Your enthusiasm and love for these characters is so great to see. In the campaign Grog’s great moment was indeed EPIC and the chances of it working out the way it did were slim but it worked so well and it was legendary 💪 The show really did well in portraying the stakes of the battle

Thank you! I really have fallen in love with these characters over the last few months. Yeah, I can’t wait to watch it in campaign. I’m going to be so hyped!

@@watchwithjoe Watching the live play gets better and better. Campaign one starts rough, but it improves quickly.

I watched up to the end of episode 35 after reacting to season 1 so I’ve got past the thoroughly annoying interrupting/meta gaming/jealous/childish/creepy play

Grog's battlecry of 'Vox Machina, FUCK SHIT UP!' is given a recall in the one-shot adventure 'The Search for Grog'. It heralds an equally epic move by the big man. I suggest you check it out, but only after you're done with Vox Machina as a campaign.

Now that the season is over? Back to a bit more variety of shows on the channel for starters! Arcane, Last Of Us and Mando S3 are coming up. Away from the channel? Sleep feels like a good idea.
