Cool. I got this game when it was brand new, and beat it in about a year. My dad introduced me to this franchise with the first game in the 80s. The first game is his favorite game of all time. This was the first game that I alone played, and have picked up the series since then. I was going on 9 years old back then and got the latest game (Tears of the Kingdom) for my 40th birthday last year. 😃

The Armos Knights and Lamolas are great easy warmup bosses that are fun to fight. Moldorm is a pain in the ass boss that can knock you off the edge, but not too bad. Aganhim is fairly easy but fun to battle. Helmasaur King is a wake up call boss, surprisingly hard for so early in the game, mostly because his tail swipe does a lot of damage. The others are fun and not too much of a challenge, although Mothula can be a pain if you don't know he's allergic to bees. The Ganon fight is probably my favorite, a multi-phase battle that requires a bit of strategy.

Try beating the ice palace with no fire rod and only the Bombos Medallion.

In a recent LttP randomizer run in the new inverted mode, I was stuck fighting Blind with five hearts, no bottles, green armor, and the Cane of Somaria as my only weapon. Turns out, it's pretty effective. You just throw/cast a block more or less where he already is, and every time he drifts through it, he takes some damage. I think I only needed three blocks total to take him out. That was kind of refreshing, because he and Mothula tend to be the bosses that drain the most health from me.

Excellent, good job man. That takes a lot of practice. By the way, I'm a huge fan of the cheap shot you got on Ganon! 😉

I just love this game! Link to the Past is the first appearance of what would later become a major brand of Zelda games: the existence of two parallel worlds between which the player can travel. The first, called World of Light (Light World), is the real Hyrule, where Link grew up with his uncle. The second is what was once the Sacred Realm, but it has become the Dark World, a corrupted version of Hyrule; water is an unpleasant dark color, grasses are dead, skulls have replaced rocks and vases, and trees have faces. People change shapes in the World of Darkness based on their nature; without an item to avoid (in this case, the Moon Pearl), Link turns into a pink rabbit. Each location in the World of Light corresponds to a similar location in the World of Darkness, usually with a similar physical structure, but an opposite nature (for example, a desert in the World of Light corresponds to a swamp in the World of Darkness, a quiet village in the Mundo da Luz corresponds to a city of thieves in ruins in the World of Darkness). Link can travel from the World of Darkness to the World of Light in almost any location in the outside world using the Magic Mirror, and can travel back to the World of Darkness again from the same location using a temporary portal left behind on the map, at the point where it reappears in the World of Light. Otherwise, Link must use locations with hidden portals across the World of Light to travel to the World of Darkness. Travel between worlds allows for the puzzle in A Link to the Past that explores the structural differences between the world of light and dark, how Link can travel to inaccessible areas in a world deforming from parallel, yet accessible locations in another world In my blog I give more details about this incredible Zelda: http: //wisegamer.net/zelda-super-nintendo-link-to-the-past/

You are badass! In my first attempt, I only perfected one boss, the wizard Round 1. Also, Moldorm and Ganon were hard as balls, I had to use save states the first time.

Bosses: Boss 1: Difficulty: very easy They will start moving in circle in then out then in then they start lining up against the wall horizontally then they start heading towards you. Shoot arrows or slash them with sword to defeat them one by one until one remains then the last one turns red and starts jumping towards you. You can only use arrows for this one. Defeat this one to end the battle. Boss 2: Difficulty: Medium 3 worms will start to come out but watch its opening as it emerges, it will spread debris into 4 diagonal directions. Use ice rod or sword to kill each one until one remains. When one remains, it will spread 8 debris instead of 4. You can still use the same attacks. Defeat this one to end the battle. Boss 3: Difficulty: Hard It will move around constantly. Avoid attacking the body as its completely harmless and it will deflect your blade pushing you back. If it pushes you against the edge, you will fall down to the previous floor. If it pushes you down, you have to restart the whole battle by going back upstairs. There are hearts in pots if you need them. What you need to do is strike its tail! Aim for the tail to defeat it! Boss 4: Difficulty: very easy He will shoot a ball at you. Use the sword to defect it back at him to defeat him. However, as the battle goes on, he will use other attacks. One is the 4 mini beams that spreads upon contact. The other one is the lightning. Lightning can be completely dodged by staying away from the center. You can tell hes gonna use lightning if he doesnt tilt when you move around. Boss 5: Difficulty: Very Hard It will move around spitting a fireball which then spreads into 3 then each spreads 4 fireballs. And he will attack you with the tail too. Use a hammer or bombs to damage his mask. One his mask is gone, hit the diamond on his head with your sword or arrrows until hes defeated. But watch out, hes more aggressive. Boss 6: Difficulty: very easy He will have eyes covering him. Use hookshot to grab one of the eyes then attack them one by one until all eyes are gone. Once they are gone, he will hop off screen then jump back on screen stunning link in the process. He will start dashing around. Stay in the corner then charge your spin attack then let him have it. After that, he will hop off screen then jump back on screen again. Keep attacking him while dodging his attacks to defeat him. Boss 7: Difficulty: Very Hard This moth is a pain. The floor is constantly moving and spikes starts moving after a few hits to her with the sword/fire rod. Keep attacking her with either weapon to defeat her. Boss 8: Difficulty: medium This boss starts moving around almost horizontally accross the room shooting beams. Attack the head. As you damage him, one of the harmless heads will come out to shoot beams. Damage him more and another head comes out. After a few more hits, hes defeated. Boss 9: Difficulty: easy Use fire rod to shoot at it to break the ice then the 3 eyes that was in the ice will start bouncing around. Defeat them while avoiding the ice fallings to end the battle. Boss 10: Difficulty: Easy Use hookshot then slash the eyes while avoiding the lightning that comes out in the center of the room so avoid that. When their 4 eyes left, the main eye will start moving around so slash it until defeated. Boss 11: Difficulty: Very Hard Shoot 2 heads with separate elements of their color(blue=ice, red=fire) then slash the heads to defeat them. Make every hit count as you have limited magic on this boss. If you run out, use magic mirror to teleport to upper floor entrance where the eyes and chests are(if you have not exited the dungeon then reentered, you will arrive at B1F entrance where the pipes are or the very main entrance). After his two heads defeated, defeat the main body to deal damage until hes defeated. And watch out as he will try real hard to ram into you. He will use sharp movements to easily kill you. You can also attack the head. Boss 12: Difficulty: Very Easy You will face agrahim again. He will shoot beams like last time and he also has the same attacks at his arsenal. Nothing new except their's 3 of him. and you will have to hit it back at the real one. Boss 13: Difficulty: Medium Ganon will swing his trident around and transport all over the room. Make sure to get in close to where he will appear to damage him. He will then summon fire kees to spread them at you. Damage him when you can. When he starts throwing fire birds, he will start stomping the ground breaking the edges of the field(WARNING: If you fall, you wont take damage but you will end up in the lower room of the pyramid resulting you to start over the whole battle). After he breaks all 4 edges, he will then turn the lights off and he will be invisible. So light them to reveal him and stun him. So strike him quickly as possible then quickly shoot arrows because he will recover quickly. You got one shot. Do this again and again until he's defeated!
