He would probably just annoy the lich so badly, that the lich wouldn't wanna mess with him, the lich probably couldn't get past the insanity that is inside of magic man, magic man is also a master manipulator, and could quiet possibly manipulate the lich, telling the lich he know of a way to get infinite power, he probably couldn't ever kill the lich, but he could sure as hell make the lich so mad that the lich wouldn't even wanna deal with magic man anymore.

@@agustinberto6138not to mention the liche is described as more of a machine with a singular function rather than a being with real forms of sentience. He wouldn’t really be affected by things like annoyance and would most likely end up manipulating magic man himself into doing something stupid. Since he is t really hindered by stuff like that. It’s also shown that he is very much capable of retaining and ascertaining information only related to his goal. In short the liche is only smart and manipulative when he has to be. Otherwise he would have burst out killing everyone in prismos wishing room when he had the chance. He knew it didn’t matter and so he quite literally shut off. Hence why the absolute best way to contain the liche is to just keep him in a room where information can’t transfer to him and there is no way of escape. Since he’s also immortal and would just reincarnate in a potentially more powerful form later on if destroyed. Hence why billy and the citadel came to the conclusion that keeping him locked up was the only way to really defeat him.

The Lich is shown to have a weakness against empathy, which suggests that in fights with Finn he's not able to use his full power - and even then he's a dangerous foe. Magic Man has no such defenses.

Magic Man is a master of manipulation and is extremely knowledgable. He went to Prismos Time Room by his own power, while Lich needed Finn and Jake to help him get the gems. Magic Man should be capable of sealing the Lich. Otherwise he could teleport the Lich to an uninhabited planet.

On the first introduction of the Lich, PB said Billy fought and pushed the Lich into a tree sap, sealing him forever (or at least until the snail freed him). I imagine Magic Man are capable of doing something similar, but not outright destroying him or something.

Definitelly agree. While Magic Man has the raw power to defeat The Lich, Lich's power is very insidious and over and over trumps and corrupts raw power. I think that he ultimatelly doesn't have enough spirit in his heart to defeat Lich. On the other hand MagicMan!Betty while focused on defending Simon might justwin, using the power of love to tip the scales (to resist Lich mind effects).

Glob is considered an immortal, so it would make sense that Magic Man is also an immortal like him. Magic Man is also shown to have a clear mind unable to be penetrated unless one has the right key that of which is Margles, which the Lich has no access to. The Lich is also not immune, and dare I say very vulnerable to physical attacks as well as lack any sort of fast transport unlike Magic Man. Even if Magic Man can't defeat the Lich, he could just leave with his teleportation magic. Yeah, Magic Man would win.

I feel like IF Magic Man immune to the Lich's mind control he stands a decent chance, given there not in a highly confined space. Magic Man could probably teleport/create objects such as rocks to crash down onto the Lich, maybe even summon his own army of something idk, possibly telepory the Lich himself, or something else crazy. I feel like he could "win" as long as the Lich doesn't grab him. It might be around a 40/60 or 50/50 chance for either of them to win. Of course, the Lich will always just come back, but at least for some time Magic Man could slow his plan down. As someone else in the comments said, he was able to mess with Glob who beat Orgalorg himself in combat and Magic Man got away with it multiple times which the vast majority wouldn't. So, Magic Man is not to be underestimated.

I actually think Magic Man would resist the Lich's control. In the episode where betty goes into Magic Man's mind it's just a field of gray because he's mentally blocking her from seeing anything else. Without the key (Margles) his mind is inaccessable and it's been shown before that mental shielding does work against the Lich so yeah I'd say that Magic Man would be Immune to the Lich's most dangerous ability and that makes the fight much more open ended. I could honestly see it going either way.

I don't thing the Lich was transformed. More like he was sealed behind the consciousness of the revived body that he resided in. In simpler terms, once the body came back to life the consciousness of the lich was overpowered by the new personality of the body.
