Hi there, earlier this week on VH-1, I saw the episode about his life. I'm half-Greek, and it was a common practice among Greeks who emigrated to the Anglosphere to shorten or change their names to have a more Anglo-Saxon sound. I'm unsure, but I think the original surname is Vacopoulos or Bacopoulos. Sadly, he went on a downward spiral which led to his premature death. It was good Wham! spilt in 1986 because in 1991 they would have looked hopelessly dated against Nirvana and Pearl Jam for success. Finally, a joke about his 1998 bust-dumbass.
