I swear this movie was soo sad! I was on the verge of crying. It was just so realistic with no sugarcoating. Don't wanna give spoilers but at first I thought she was barren and that's why she couldn't have kids. But then they shocked me like dang the things that happened to the couple when they tried to have children just.. It was just so unexpected and made their case sadder in my opinion.

man, what a fucking pussy. The second miscarriage was bad but that didn't make me cry. What made me cry was what a waste of talent Rachel Weisz was in this movie. Her character is a total contrivance. What are the fucking odds her character is the daughter of the wealthiest man in this area? She and Tom and Isabel would have never crossed paths without that little detail. I'm assuming it's faithful to the book, so the book is a little fucking stupid too.

Tom Little what is wrong with you? why would you verbally attack someone like that when they are sharing how a certain story made them feel? maybe some people connect or empathize with it more than others. doesn't mean you have to be a complete asshole about it. an opinion is one thing but flat out bullying is another... fuck off.

I read the book. It was written by a woman who is an alumnus at the same university at which I am one. She did the same course as I did, but I can't write fiction like her. It was an extraordinary and moving book, and I cried because I am adopted and have never found my biological mother. I have never had the money to do so. It's so expensive, and now with all the elderly people who died in the care homes, I am so afraid she will have passed away. Watch this movie. It's so moving.
