NL, I believe you can "pre-move" your pieces if you know what the opponent is going to do. Like in the game against utku_bd at 23:57 , I'm pretty sure he had the pawn set to capture your knight ahead of time. That's why his turn was so incredibly fast. Definitely keep up the great content and hopefully try to get more used to the controls/interface so you don't keep accidentally blundering your queen lol

Don't be so embarrassed/freaked out by your rank and stuff, we know you haven't played for years and years. And if you were starting fresh, you'd be at like... 700, not 1350. So it's completely an issue of how much rust there was and how hard it is to scrape off, and honestly only losing like 100 ranking in a decade is mad impressive. It will take more than like a dozen games, lol, to re-learn and get back in the groove and progress further than when you were younger.

White can transpose to the Advance Variation of the French Defense with 3.d4 d5 4.e5. Alternatively, White can transpose to a sort of Tarrasch French with 3.d4 d5 4.Nd2, or try to demonstrate a slight advantage with 3.d4 d5 4.exd5 exd5 5.Be3."
