Because of that, and the fact the people behind the live action remake are bad mouthing the original film as "problematic" because "Ariel is a 1 dimensional damsel in distress who left the ocean just for a boy" claiming that the remake is "the new and improved version", I'm boycotting the live action remake. The Little Mermaid started the Disney Renesance and it doesn't deserve to be thrown under the bus and be bullied for being "problematic."

I HATE that they didn't get a drag queen to play Ursula in the remake to pay homage to Divine. Lame af.

I don't know. But I think Melissa looks great as Ursula. Her laughs chill my bone and her singing is awesome. Her design is much like Divine the drag queen who inspired the character, even though she is not truly a drag queen.
