As viewer Marc mentions, 180 lbs is not 60 kg, it's about 80 kg. My mistake. The point about the toxins is still mathematically valid since the lowest toxin liver for sperm quality concern was still too much at 285 lbs. I blame the US for not using the metric system 😜
@marcdenlinger52822 жыл бұрын
I work in healthcare in Pennsylvania. I have to convert lbs to kg every day. So it was an easy find for me. Plus, I like to keep my weight under 80kg. US healthcare mostly uses metric, but height and weight are usually measured in feet, inches and lbs, because that is what the consumer understands. It's pretty messed up here. Bottom line, don't eat liver. It's not just gross, but also not good for you. Also, be careful to avoid too much Vitamin A supplements.

I do crossfit and have experienced muslce gain and weight loss at the same time. If my diet was so detrimental and bad according to the mainstream science, why am I experiencing the opposite? When I also do workouts far more extreme than your average gymnast I could be lying and also the thousands that have tried a strict carnivore diet, but at some point you have to ask yourself maybe their telling the truth and are not "evil", but like yourself believe in their ideology. The concept of meat consumption shouldn't be so far fetched. Everyone consumes meat only difference is I don't consume carbs and instead I consume a buttload of fat. Fat has become my main source of energy. Which is the cleanest source of energy available in nature. I could be biased, but I do not consider Mic the vegan as healthy as he portrays himself. His skin is extremely pale and fits the stereotype vegan look really well. I personally am not a big fan of liver king, but there is multiple doctors ext that are advocating for carnivore, which actually looks very healthy. Esspecially in comparison to mic the vegan. i have calculated that the max amount of liver one can eat without developing vitamin A overload is just 38g of (cooked) liver, or 32g according to Cronometer. But since dietary vitamin A accumulates in ur own liver, it wouldn't be safe to eat even just 32g of liver every day. If you wanna meet the RDA of vitamin A from just liver (and no other food sources), you would have to eat just about 10g of liver per day (or about 20g of liver every other day i guess, and so on). But now that I think about it, if vitamin A accumulates in the liver depending on how much of it is eaten, I guess cow liver doesn't always have the same amount of vitamin A cuz it depends on the cow's diet, so idk.

Of course. I mean what this video says.👍 good video as always. Also, some very interesting liver related trivia: suddenly vultures started getting scarce, in danger of extinction, maybe twenty years ago. Studies revealed that the very common drug diclofenac, used as a pain reliever in humans and very extensively for farm animals, was lethal to vultures. As usual resistance to this new idea by farmers. One particular species of vulture was particularly vulnerable, many dying of this poison. Then it was found that this species is a sort of apex species: it lords over other types, and when an animal carcass is spotted other vultures make way for this dominant species. Now the interesting part: the most nutrient rich and desired part of the carcass is the liver, and getting first feeding rights these vultures make a beeline for it. But the liver is also where the toxins are stored, in the highest concentration, including residual diclofenac. So this species was dying off faster. I saw this in a video on the subject long ago. At long last diclofenac was banned for veterinary use but the ban being followed well or enforced we can only hope for. Well I hope people found this interesting as I did when I learnt of it.

I have a really interesting topic for you!! I don’t know if it’s true or bunk 😂 plant chomps actually covered this issue of iron overload and it seems legit, and I have heard that anemia in women is actually a low copper issue and low retinol issue and not a true “low iron” issue because it’s a transport and utilization problem and I’m like genuinely very interested in this lol; What they claim is that women’s iron recycling system is much more efficient than men’s, especially when we are pregnant, and we are actually often iron *overloaded* due to things like enrichment of food and that it’s hard for the body to rid itself of excess iron, and that low retinol and copper causes the iron to get “stuck” in soft tissues and not utilized properly and therefore blood tests look like low iron, and that the fatigue that comes from “anemia” is because they have low ACCESSIBLE iron. Also that our period helps with an “iron detox” and donating blood is also a good thing. I’m genuinely curious if this is true, and if it is true, is beta carotene fine to get the system working vs retinol? A lot of the people that subscribe to this theory claim it HAS to be retinol and not beta carotene 🙄 I’m sure beta carotene could do the job because it becomes vitamin a but 🙄 I would LOVE to hear about this topic since it’s really kind of a different topic!

Thanks Mic for this. The entire obsession humans have with eating loads of animal proteins is fascinating. It is the opposite of a compassionate ethical vegan dietary choice which considers the life of animals to be sacred. Humans are not lions, and we lack the claws and fangs to kill, short intestines, ability to detoxify vitamin A, and make our own vitamin C. We need fiber. Hypermasculinity seems to be a driving force as many of these males love to pose with their shirts off, and I wonder if these humans are trying to make up for deep feelings of insecurity, etcetera by hyping up the supposed virility and power of eating the defenseless dead. It reminds me of the trophy hunters who smile as they pose with the head and dead body of those innocent animals they murder with high powered rifles. The animals have no chance and this is such an unfair contest. Realistically, humans killing gentle defenseless animals to eat them is not masculine, its' cruel and inhumane. Its' also strange that any males would consume so many animals hormones, including estrogens.

I hope it's caught early and can be resolved but that's the only way these people will learn and it will help prevent more people from going down that path. There is no long-term evidence of these diets being even remotely healthy. They can't say the same about vegans. And this is only because these people are in influential positions.
