This has always been my favorite Bond film. Such a great balance of old and new, silly and serious, over-the-top and plausible. John Berry was at the height of his game. The A-Ha theme song is criminally underrated. Timothy Dalton disappears into the role in a way that none of the other actors portraying Bond ever have. Maryam d'Abo is perhaps the only genuinely sweet and likable Bond girl from the entire franchise. Everything about this movie just feels perfect to me.

+Last Ninja Pierce Brosnan would have the dalton films, if Remington steele wasn't un-cancelled.... But you're right, Pierce would been a bit unseasoned and too young to be Bond, and his films had too many toilet jokes in them. In terms of real and ruthless spy action, Dalton and Craig are near dead even, with the Dalton getting the edge(Quantum of Solace was an utter mess.)

0:45 I actually caught myself nodding my head up and down and felt such a feeling of "epicness" lol. One thing that I love, about the Bond movies, especially the John Barry ones, is that he did a fantastic job of taking the opening credits song and incorporating it into the songs in the actual movie. You don't really see that much in movies.

…not to mention that John Barry incorporates all three songs (including both of Annie Lennox’s) in the Living Daylights. Eric Serra definitely didn’t for that for Goldeneye, though Skyfall was exhibited pretty prominently in that one.

This must be one of the most iconic scores of any bond movie - it always goes through my head when I think of bond. I was 12 when this came out and remember having a summer holiday at Pontins in Blackpool (now sadly gone to make way for housing). They used to do cabaret shows in the Princess theatre at night - but during the day they would often make it into a cinema and show movies. This movie (along with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Never ending Story) always sticks in my mind due to watching them whilst on holiday at Pontins. I can still recall coming out of the dark theatre back into the sunshine then spending the rest of the holiday running around the camp humming this tune. Did any of the other bond movies mix the main theme into the score so seamlessly - I can't think of any others that did this.
