And that, Children, is where there are some doors that can only be opened with the Key.

This was one of the few books that I actually read through in Skyrim. (probably since it doesn't have a of names and places) These readings are excellent, and I wish that Skyrim had a mod that inserts these into the game itself.

She didn't have to get revenge. Even so, a good story. Thanks for narrating.

No wonder there always some "unable to pick" or "require a key to unlock" doors in castles or old house with some dark secret behind it. Skyrim's books i found are always either history book, magic learning book or Thriller with bad ends.

Geez...she hinted that the vampire had access to the key as well. It her instructor hadn't spent most of his time bitching and moaning, and more time checking out the room, he would have realized the only place for the key to possibly was in the box.

You see, in this story, both of them are evil. Chaotic evil for the teacher, and lawful evil for the student. In the end, it only shows that you should trust nobody, and he should have never told her about the time constraint.

He shouldn't have put a vampire in the crate, maybe an automaton that jerks around but not something actually dangerous. The psychological effect would be the same if he just intends to teach a lesson but it would prove harmless if the situation was turned on him. And both are Lawful Evil/Neutral - they follow the law to an extent, relying on it when needed but otherwise pursuing a venue of thievery.

If there were no windows in the chamber, couldn't the vampire come out at any time?
