How do you deal with religious extremists that won't listen to anything anyone but this self proclaimed "messiah"? These are Christian equivalent of taliban and should be rooted up before it festers even further. Oh wait. They are already festering. Because Americans with their bible thumping lunacy cried their hearts out for this Koresh person who effectively became martyr figure for sons of anarchy white supremo jesus freaks who cried jesus even harder since.

Koresh was an awful evil person, who was a pedophile and deserved to rot in a cell. But the ATF’s handling of this entire situation was abhorrent. Not only did they murder more than 70 people including children, but they also ran their vehicles over the corpses of the Branch Davidians who had perished in the initial battle entirely on purpose. The ATF was never properly punished for their crimes, and basically got away Scott free. I highly suggest watching Wendigoon’s video on the subject, to anyone who’s interested in researching this matter further.
@ennuiii
@ennuiii 6 ай бұрын
You're clearly trying to fulfill a narrative here. Is highly disputed that they murdered more than 70 people, there's strong evidence that over 20 members of the davidians themselves were murdered by their own members before fire occurred. Stop trying to act like you are playing both sides when you're clearly more focused on pushing your nonsense

I think people who are disgruntled by this event and blaming the ATF for the escalation, aren't in any way shifting Koresh's blame to them. Yes, Koresh is disgusting, dude's absolutely vile. But they also want some accountability about how the ATF handling the siege. Then again, this is a very hard topic to approach. What should they do in the case when the suspects are refusing to de-escalate the situation?
@okamiexe1501
@okamiexe1501 Жыл бұрын
Well for one, use real cops and not the ATF. The could have approached like normal people and came to the front door before busting it down and going "We have a warrant, we can do this!" But you're right, it's a hard topic to discuss, but there's a reason why everyone hates the ATF, even other agencies sometimes.
@lonesomebeetroot3376

I think the issue most people have including myself is that yes, Karesh was an absolute asshat, but they had innocent children BABIES even in there and the way they escalated everything and ultimately created this situation where so many children died is absolutely abhorrent. If he was in there himself being an asshat sure do whatever but the way they handled it knowing very young lives were at stake is just terrible.

Koresh and the Branch Davidians were the ones trying to negotiate, over and over, hell the whole siege happened because the ATF claimed he was aggressive and didn't want to be searched, when he was the one who invited authorities to search the compound and see the weapons were all legal and detained legally (they had a gun shop ffs). The ATF and the FBI are to blame for the start and end of the siege, no buts. Koresh was a terrible man on other accounts, but the siege was not one of them.

Not long after Waco, about a few hours, there was another stand off between a man who owned a homestead, John Joe Gray, and the local sheriff. The stand off happened because the Gray had an illegal firearm, and bit a cop when he tried to take it. Unlike Waco, still fresh in everyones mind, the police just stood by and watched. After 15 years, the DA just said "fuck it, all charges dropped" and the stand off ended. Until the IRS came in and said this guy hasnt paid taxes in 12 years, and we want our money. Gray just went "I'll fuckin do it again" and the sheriff was just like "nope". Gray died a free man, not owing anything to the IRS.
