Great vid as always! I might have missed it, but was curious why you planted your El choco as a crawler? I thought they were climbers? Thanks x
@unplantparenthood Жыл бұрын
Hi maya! They are climbers, but since it already had a crawling pattern to the leaves I decided to just plant it that way to see what happens! It’s already starting to push roots from the top and root into the substrate which is kind of exciting. I’ve also seen some hobbyists make crawlers climb poles, so I figured it might work the other way around 🙂
@mayahs792 Жыл бұрын
@@unplantparenthood thanks for taking the time to reply. That’s actually a really cool idea! You’re right, I’ve seen crawlers get trained to climb but not the other way around. Really looking forward to updates on this! Btw, I love your lazy moss pole idea, got some of my Philos to really size up that way! I’ve shared your pole tutorial vids in a lot of my FB plant groups! "Respectfully, I find myself to be very annoying" I laughed my ass off at this. Same, girl, I find myself to be annoying as hell. If I somehow hear my own voice in a recording I want to literally fling my computer out a window. On a more serious note, I find it absolutely wild that people think it's "mean" when you respond to haters with the same energy they brought. How is it mean to defend yourself?? Very strange take honestly. Also, I saw that yifang cup that the glad hands was in 👀 Edit: As a personal anecdote, water flossing is a really useful for people like me with TMJ where opening my mouth big enough to floss thoroughly is incredibly painful so usually I just water floss, and then once or twice a week I use actual floss!

Don’t be so hard on yourself, gurl. I like the way you talk; you seem really genuine and real. And at least you don’t always have the exact same inflection pattern in every sentence like some people. That’s drives me absolutely insane 😂 Clap back to hate when it’s deserved, but I’ve learned to just not even give those people the time of day. It’s too shit for my mental health to give it any energy. Check their attitude and then ignore for your own sanity ✌🏻

Hello. I have just found your channel. It saddens me to hear that people even think they have the right to put someone down/ criticise for how they plant plants, what is the world coming to. At the 1hr 40 mark you plant with soil in a non draining glass vase. Not sure if you have covered how you water, how much etc what fertiliser you use for semi hydro, soil or tree fern fibre but would love to see you do a video on covering all of that. I have been doing semi hydro for six months, still so much to learn. PS. Haters are just angry people who can not deal with their real issues and take it out on others, sad but true

Have you heard anything about mico needing to be in dark or is it ok to be in a see thru container? I know this is random but your the first person I thought of that would know the answer
@unplantparenthood Жыл бұрын
I believe there are so myco that needs to be stored in a completely opaque container, while others like great white, can have something a bit more see through but not 100% clear. I would just follow whatever the original package is! (For example: TPS billions comes in a completely dark bag so I don’t store it in a container that allows any light in) I hope that makes sense!
