What you need to realize before watching this is Burt Reynolds character is the same one from the original film. He's still in prison. 😂 It's not a remake. It's a sequel.

Merry Christmas, Emma. A fun movie this one, but I also would love to see a reaction to the original. Burt was just amazing there. Great cast all around. Adam's remake is a good movie to watch. But the original will always be #1 in my book. Burt was on top of his game at the time. Maybe after that a reaction to "Deliverance". Two of Burts best. "Smokey and the Bandit" you've watched already, loved the reaction. Sidenote: The soccer/football version/remake from 2001 "Mean Machine" was actually a pleasant surprise when I watched it. Didn't expect to like it as much as I did. A fun cast as well with Vinnie Jones, Jason Statham, Danny Dyer, Jason Flemyng and John Forgeham.

As long as she reacts to both it doesn't matter to me in what order. I think she will still like both. One of the first reactions of Emma's that I watched was Smokie and the Bandit and she did a wonderful job and seemed to enjoy that movie.
