Hey guys, thank you so much for watching! Please consider subscribing to the channel. Which hairstyle in this film would you rock if it were the 80’s? What are some horror/thriller film reactions you’d like to see during the month of October?
Perfect! I have a few Al Pacino films I want to do and will be adding this one. Thanks so much!

This movie means everything to me. It was my sister's favorite movie and the song in here "cry little sister" means a lot to me now. Last year 4 days after my birthday my sister was Murd3r3d. I loved your reaction!!

Lots of fun. One vampire movie I would say is legit scary is Fright Night 1984

This is one of those movies that I struggle to understand the love of. I think it was praised so much before I saw it that I expected more. The movie in general feels like it’s trying to appeal to the mtv audience (a common comparison) rather than horror/universal monster fans. Like it doesn’t feel like a horror fan made this. Couple that with the relationships in this (which all come across as shallow to me), and that’s why I admittedly am a hater. But if you like it, all the better. I just always feel like I’m in the twilight zone when people gush about it. Fright Night from the 80s is my jam though. Love it!
@jessebatres68954 ай бұрын
One thing I'll say is that I think the soundtrack elevates it some more, and it might have had a bigger impact on the broader audience. I'm a fan of the Halloween series, and I read that John Carpenter screened the final cut for some executive without the music and the executive didn't like it and it was not scary for him at all. Carpenter than added the music and the Executive was very impressed and the rest is history. Oh and I'll be watching Fright Night soon as well! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Always love the feedback. :)

That amusement park on the beach is called the Boardwalk and has been there about 100 years.

@michaelroberts4940Ай бұрын
@@jessebatres6895 Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is still operational, and it receives many visitors during the summer season. Fun fact, Santa Cruz really was called Murder Capital of the world during the 1970's, due to 2 different serial murderers during that time period.

"It was all going to be so perfect, Lucy. Just like one big, happy family. Your boys... and my boys." This movie is a Peter Pan allegory. Max is Peter Pan, Lucy is Wendy, Michael/Sam are Wendy's brothers, the Frog Brothers are Captain Hook/Mr. Smee, and Star is Tinkerbell or Tiger Lily. Once you pick up on the allegory, it becomes a totally different movie. There's been sequels and a remake, but they never understood this concept and just became stupid vampire movies. Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Jamison Newlander. Two Coreys Fact: This was Corey Haim and Corey Feldman's first film together, which marked the start of a popular "The Two Coreys" trend in which Feldman and Haim starred together in a number of teenage films. Fire Stunt Fact: In the chaotic dinner scene, Alan Frog puts out candles with his fingers. Nobody told Jamison Newlander that he had to wet his fingers first, so he ended up getting burnt. In later takes, he dipped his hands in a basin of water before putting out the candles. Tourist Attraction Fact: Two men can be seen playing pinball the second time Sam visits the comic shop. The guy with the facial hair is Joe Ferrara II, who actually owned the comic shop Atlantis Fantasyworld. The comic shop has now moved location but is still owned by Joe. The new location of the Atlantis Fantasyworld comic book store, which was featured in the film, still carries the original #1 issue of 'Vampires Everywhere' that Sam reads in the film. The comic was created only for the film, and its opening page is signed by all of the cast members from the movie. The owner Joe Ferrara II allows any shopper to hold it and take a photo with it free of charge.

I'll have to dissect the film so more but I wonder why David and the others showed up at Max's house to "torment" him. Obviously, it's a way to for them to throw the audience off a bit, but it's strange to think that they'd do that to the "Head" vampire. Jamison Newlander: Haha! Man I could see how easy it was to make that mistake as a teenager. It's something that you don't fully think about in the moment. Great facts and insights as always!!

Thanks for an amazing reaction, as always! The tear in Davids eye, when he got burned by the sun was real! It was because the coloured lenses where painful to wear! The option to not show the vampires flying more than they did, was economical! But I think it makes everything better! The reason the frog brothers are so overplayed! The director told them to watch all the Rambo and other war movies, because that would be their type of characters! It's bad that you have to remove anything from the movies you watch, even if you show more than anyone! I guess that youtube makes it impossible not to! I think you can have a free Patreon account, to get around youtubes rules!
@jessebatres68954 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the reactions, and I've got many more coming your way :) Ah that makes sense! And it kind of makes me wince now because I wear contacts and hate when they start getting uncomfortable and I'm away from home You know the more I let the film resonate, the more I like that they didn't show them during the attack scenes or showed them sparingly while flying. The frog brothers were so awesome! They were so ridiculous at times but I loved it, and it's hilarious how confident they are yet get manhandled regularly lol! And yeah I'll be starting a Patreon soon where I can add longer reactions with more of the movie, as well as some reactions to tv series', etc. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I really appreciate the support and kind words! ❤

They filmed this in my home town of Santa Cruz, California. They renamed it Santa Carla because in the sixties and seventies they had a string of murders for real and the city council did not want that sign to use its real name to put on the back of that billboard. When I was a kid there, one of my closest friends mother along with a group of people from the eye doctors where she worked were kidnapped and taken to the M.D.'s house and killed and thrown into the swimming pool at the house. It was a big deal back then because until this film came out S.C. was pretty quiet and not well known
