What if the four founders had been reborn into the modern era?
@maskmaker63743 ай бұрын
Would love a theory on where magic came from. Since we know Wizards a) not human, b) magical races can create Wizards (ie: Fleur), and c) normal humans can produce a Wizard. I mean you got Lily(Human born witch) Petunia (non magical human not allow in magical society), and Ms Figg (Squib non magical but allowed in magical society) What makes Petunia and Ms Figg so different. I thought it was the ability to interact with magic but Fantastic Beasts proved me wrong even allowing Muggles to walk on Hogwarts (proving my head cannon that a lost muggle can still stumble on the grounds) I bring up Petunia because I thought the different between human and squib is innate, though unable to be tapped magic. So a squib like Flich could still make a potion since it doesnt require a spell. But even if it isgenetic like a Squib her magic would be ressessive and still making her innately magic. Or is all this subtle racism. A squib is just a human born in the right family and so tolerated more than one born in a muggle family?

@wanderhillen2435 makes sense. To enter Slytherin's CoS you had to speak in Parselmouth. I could imagine Gryfindor's CoS would require combat skills (e.g. Ron winning Wizard's chess) but at a ridiculously higher setting to get in. Ravenclaw might have used the moving maze as a puzzle to get to her CoS. Or a Sphinx tier gauntlet series of riddles (not Tom) to answer. Hufflepuff would probably a potion / medicine brew that Cedric Diggory would be hopeless at creating.

Slytherin's Chamber: contains giant snake to stare mudbloods to death. Gryffindor's chamber: contains giant lion to roar at cowards and make them go deaf. Ravenclaw's chamber: contains giant eagle to peck at dumbest students' heads. Hufflepuff's chamber: contains giant badger that would force-feed disloyal friends with expired food

A pure Ravenclaw-minded question, but about two other houses: I've often wondered about the intensity of disagreement between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Teachers/Professors often leave a school because of a difference in philosophy of education--that's normal. But Slytherin and Gryffindor were the best of friends (according to the Sorting Hat, who should certainly know). Was this the great wizarding battle of the early years? Had Slytherin been accused of harming the muggle-born while still a professor? To create a Chamber of Secrets with a murdering monster who eventually would attack/kill muggle-born students is much more than a difference in philosophy of education! Here's the conundrum: After he left, why continue to use his name as one of the four "Great Houses" of Hogwarts? Was this something that could not be undone because the sorting hat had some of Slytherin's personality? Was this Binding Magic? To bring this example up to more modern times, even after the Chamber of Secrets had been opened, and even in Harry's day when the monster had been discovered, the school continued to keep Slytherin House at Hogwarts (as witnessed when Harry's second son was sorted into it). I'd love to see a video that explores just how intense the conflict was between Slytherin and Gryffindor--must have been really something!

Rowena Ravenclaw was very talented at divinations. What if her secret chamber was similar to the Hall of Prophecy in the Department of Mysteries. For all we know, there could be a secret room in Hogwarts where there are rows upon rows of shelves holding hundreds, if not thousands of prophecy orbs, which Rowena had weaved when she was alive.

My theory is the room of requirement was made by helga as to help students in need, the map chamber from hogwarts legacy was originally from ravenclaw to help research the surrounding areas and help learn more about the grounds. And for gryphondor its the trap door chamber from the first book. It has been housing most of those traps longer than we know. How else would do much devil snare and all the flying keys be there for a long time. It’s like it was made as a test. Maybe a test of courage and held something but was repurposed to hide the philoshers stone. But maybe originally when the mirror was there if someone made it to the end they could meet the echo of gryphandor as a reward for their courage.

Something I always thought about... The Headmaster's office is clearly Godric Gryffindor's old office/home. It got "griffin doors" for crying out loud. And if he had his own space outside of the Common Rooms/Dormitories, then the other founders ought to have had their own offices/homes in the school, right? There are several teacher offices in the school, but surely none of them are as grand as the Headmaster's office... So where did Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin live while working in the school? Are there 3 undisclosed epic offices still somewhere in the school? Or is the room of requirement one of the offices? It would certainly be a handy thing.
@maskmaker63743 ай бұрын
Ive always had two theories when it came to the original 4. 1st) That Hogwarts was really thought of by Slytherin to protect and train pure blood wizards (why is my next theory) buy Godric was a more personable guy able to bring his old friends Rowina and Helga and be the "face" of the school. Helga and Rowina doesnt seem like two that would come out their shell and start a school w/o their extrovert friend. Think Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. 2nd theory: It has been mentioned before that there was a fight between Muggles and Magicfolk. That perhaps the Muggles won. That the school and its enchantments were to protect those running for safety. This includes the forest a land where the creatures could hide. That my theory is that the school was orginally a battle school. That the reason why Griffindor not only has such a powerful magical blade but like any General its focus is on loyality to himself. The sword would never go and protect those he couldn't trust. That Slytherin wanted pure bloods because of the battles with muggles thinking those were the only people he could trust. Just a theory

just like aquamarin mentioned, i think that the room was made by helga for people in need. but i do not think she would hide it from the others either or it might have been a combined project between Helga and ravenclaw, maybe with some of the charms needed. Ravenclaw was mutch more into riddles etc and there is no ridles etc linked to it. you can encounter the room entierly by change walking back and forth in the corridor requireing something. need a hiding place? broomcloset, need somewhere to hide a item? it got a room for that. need to get to the bathroom badly? it got that. (wonder how dumbledore got that badly lost that he could not find one of the numerous bathrooms in the school) need a place for dueling? it got acces to that. it can even make a secret corridor to help getting food AND it is safe! honestly kinda crazy all the things it can provide. it might have been made by all of the founders combined to honestly considering it is one of the most powerfull pices of magic we have ever seen. not in beeing destructive etc. but the massive amount of different uses. it is basicly the switz army knife of magic ecomplishment

This is entirely just my guess. But I would say no, because the map was created by the marauders and if did not know where those chambers were, they wouldn’t be able to put them on the map. They had explored the school and found all of those secret passages , hence why they were on the map. It’s also possible that the other chambers were unplottable (a charm I believe) like how the room of requirements wouldn’t show up on the map and also I believe the fidelious charm does the same with whatever location is being hidden
@Leon-w5h3 ай бұрын
I would think that Godric Gryffindore had, within his offices, his own cloister, shared with his closest (younger) successor. It would include bed, sitting spaces, and open practice area. His office would have to be a semi-public area where he could entertain those doing school business, or counseling students who need it. Even long before Harry Potter was a student at Hogwarts, EVERYONE knew he would need more counseling. He was essentially raised by “… the worst sort of Muggles …”. And aside from the fourth and fifth year, Dumbledore was especially closely counseling Harry. Harry was an especially powerful young wizard, appended to a sliver of “Tom Riddle”s soul. Once freed from the influence of the Dark Lord, his own power was all that was left. But he never realized the depth of his power, even defeating the Unnamed One. But where would Godric Gryffindore go were he to need solitude? I suspect he had his own “Room of Requirement”.

Hufflepuff House common room is rumored to be level with the ground because it represents earth element, but isn't totally underground allowing for windows to let light in for the abundance of plants. This is kind of why people imagine it like a hobbit hole. It's homey/cozy and welcoming. Also because it's outside the kitchen it supposedly smells of food. However, it's the only common room not visited within the Harry Potter series because of the secret pattern of tapping on the barrels that spray you with vinegar if you get it wrong. In the Hogwarts Legacy game, Hufflepuff common room uses a lot of circular patterns too. Because the barrels are the entry point, the path in is rounded. The doors to the bedrooms are round. Everything is facing toward the center common room meaning it's circles forming a bigger circle (think like a beehive?). Instead of being super yellow, they use a lot more golden yellow and warm candle light and natural light. There's a lot of plants, and a lot of sweets and tea. All the furniture is wooden. Again making the Hufflepuff common room cozy, and hobbity. Another thing is on the map the Hufflepuff common room and kitchen are outside a side garden where there are beehives, but the kitchen is opposite Hufflepuff House. I don't think a hobbit hole is a bad idea for Hufflepuff though because hobbits are cheerful, work hard, stick together, and many other similarities to what a Hufflepuff student "should be." Lastly, hobbits are very close to Halflings of Dungeons and Dragons. Halflings are one of the most accepted races because they are welcoming and kind and have a trait called Brave where they cannot be Feared (like being unafraid of toil). They welcome almost anyone to their table where they serve good food and share stories once the day's work is complete.
